*** Official Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Thread ***

Anyone seen this bug before? The UAV machine gun stopped working although I could hop in the Bradley tank and still get the missile with alternate weapon. Changing classes didn't help or rounds only restarting BC2 fixed it.

I didn't say anything about smoke on the crates, you use smoke to get some cover on open space where they're already watching, but can't cover just by randomly spraying. i.e. if they're watching the river crossing on Laguna Presa, smoke will allow you to move to a spot where you have the cover advantage.

Using smoke as cover never works, you use it to move in or to move away from a hot zone.

That's why I was saying don't put the smoke on you, people stare and fire at anything in or coming out of the smoke.

Play hardcore.


Medic with M60 + 4x scope + Magnum ammo.. Spawn on your squad. Put health kits down, revive them with defib. You get loads of kills and die less because your squad takes some of the hits.

I often get K/D's of 2-5 using medic. It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it and this gun is silly. Easy to pick off snipers too, since it's really accurate, powerful and fast.



Another on the trans-alaskan pipeline one is to play engineer, then hide and watch the map (press start) to see when tanks appear, then tracer-dart/carl gustav every tank (lock it on by zooming in with the bazooka then hovering over the tank with the tracer 'till a distance is displayed, then aim into the sky quickly, so the rocket goes high then drops onto the target) . You'll get loads of points and kills.


On Isla innocentes when defending the first island, you can tracer dart their helicopter from the right of the island (facing their spawn), then carl gustav it with it locked on.


Basically Engineer or medic is the way forward.

u on psn or xbl?.....if on ps3 than add me i might help you out.....sometimes there are few tactics which can only be demonstrated during gameplay :D

try to tag enemies by pressing select so that your team can kill them....one more good thing is that sometimes you can't see them but if you just press select it might tag them for you and than you can take your shot...it works 80% for me

or just go at the back of your spawn and get on the .50cal MG and start shooting....believe me i knock down those planes everytime like this....also watch out for snipers too

People still moaning about recon/snipers then. I've had very few games with an overwhelming amount of recons, it's all medics and their M60 cannons.

I mean Ive got a decent KD atm 1.20 but I've been going in rambo
 
The only kit I don't really get a good KD on is Engineer, but I'm helping other people more than anything, same with Medic...so it doesn't really matter I guess! I sometimes camp and snipe a bit but get bored and go rambo with it :p

That map was somewhat of a horror show for me, didn't even get a chance to get warmed up was getting shot so often :eek:

I prefer the rush maps. Although saying that, it might've been all the mortar strikes raining in that dampened my enthusiasm ;)
