I should add: the map pack is unlocked with a VIP code; they come in the shrink wrap for the game, doesn't matter if it's standard or limited. It costs £15 to get a VIP code. You're essentially getting the new content if you buy the game first-hand. Second hand owners will need to buy a VIP code from the EA store which then unlocks any and every new content that comes their way.

Basically, even if you buy the game second-hand, the developers get your money if you're willing to keep it up to date. It's a rather ingenious idea I must admit.

I agree, it's probably the best way for them to try and get some money back from the second hand market, fair enough in my opinion.

Would be nice if we got Karkand too!:D

Basically the same idea as the Cerberus Network for Mass Effect 2 then. It is a very good idea though.

If this is yet another pricing error on the part of Tesco, then something should really be done about it. There have been a lot of these over the past few months. They're probably not mistakes, but deliberate attempts at generating traffic to their site so that other items might be purchased at the same time. Regardless, they should be held responsible somehow.

Even from Tesco, just the standard edition? Do they send you a code via email or does it come with it?

Dice have said that there will be no standard editions. Its just LE from all the sellers according to their twitter. The standard edition will probably come in a couple of months. The LE is just a standard game box with a code added.

Theres a forum post over at ShopTo where someone has confirmed ShopTo's customer service have stated they will only be receiving standard copies, not the limited editions. This is despite other confirmations of all copies being the LE editions.

Im not taking the risk - Ive cancelled with ShopTo and placed my pre-order with Gameplay. ShopTo have apparently stated its only Gameplay and Game offering the LE edition.

For the sake of a few quid, Id rather know I'll be receiving the LE edition for sure.

Fair enough. Bare in mind though that its just a handful of unlocks all of which can just be gained through playing.

I keep looking down at my games shelf thinking "what should I play? Hmmm, fable 2... I wonder whats in the shop"

I get paid tomorrow, I have to fight the urge to buy a new game so I don't waste my money on something that will start gathering dust as soon as this comes out!

Seems some US stores have started selling this already and there's mention of EU store/s already doing the same. Any UK place breaking I'm sure we'd hear about it in a matter of minutes.

Oh appreciate that, but theyre not necessarily unlocks I'd want to concentrate on to unlock (Vehicle ones). Im more of a foot soldier myself :p

Im more of a foot soldier too but the vehicle unlocks are stuff you'll have within 10hours or so of overall playtime to be honest.
Iv ordered from Tesco, I couldnt care which version comes, Ill have those unlocks pretty fast I imagine anyway.
