I should add: the map pack is unlocked with a VIP code; they come in the shrink wrap for the game, doesn't matter if it's standard or limited. It costs £15 to get a VIP code. You're essentially getting the new content if you buy the game first-hand. Second hand owners will need to buy a VIP code from the EA store which then unlocks any and every new content that comes their way.
Basically, even if you buy the game second-hand, the developers get your money if you're willing to keep it up to date. It's a rather ingenious idea I must admit.
