*** Official Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Thread ***

You people not read? lol

It's been mentioned about 50 times.

LE has some weapons etc unlocked out the box. You can unlock these by playing more on standard

Thanks for reply ;)

sorry no i did not read the thread completely, easier to ask :D

I may just go for the SE then considering LE offers nothing 'extra'

Wooooooooooo Hooooooooo, loving single player atm :D

I do how ever, have a question...

What does the sound option "War Tapes" actually output and do? Sounds like it has a normalizer (not liking) but crisper sounds...

I have selected Home Cinema atm as well, I have a 5.1 home cinema sound system in my room lol.

But I am a audio buff so want the best sound wuality, so yea, what is "War Tapes" in the sound options?

All the sound styles are 5.1, war tapes adds gain and distortion that mimic an overloaded mic thus it being called war tapes. As well as various filters. Loads of people seem to think its amazing and for those that have tried it the majority seem to love it.

I personally don't like it for standard play and see it as a bit of novelty, I find it pretty fatiguing over headphones as well.. I think its a good effect but I'd run whatever system you're using as you are.

All of the above is my humble opinion

It has a run-down of the different audio modes in the manual.

Lol, I know, I wouldn't ask if it had supplied a more detailed run down! It says:

War Taped - The most extreme setting for an intense audio experiance.

Really with they would be slightly more technical lol.

My copy arrived today, shame really as I'm not done with Heavy Rain so dont really want to get to into it till then

Seems good though (better than AvP at least in terms of a FPS)

Ahaaaaa! Cheers mate, so in short, it's a filter that boosts quality of the little things, loudens everything up, but overall, it's just a filter? I think I would rather have direct audio so will stick to 'Home Cinema' :)
