Been playing multiplayer for the last 2 or 3 hours straight, not one problem, no disconnects, nothing

Getting around 40-60 FPS (FRAPS) with everything on high and HBAO "on", but anti aliasing on 2x and anisotropic filtering on 8x (1280x1024) with PC in sig.

.Ive just come off lol, good games tonight, good news is favourites servers is now working.
To add the server, go into, my documents,BFBC2 folder,then game settings, right near the bottom theres favourite games, add this directly after the =

I get 75fps to 100 odd with crossfire 5770, at 1920x1080 all high settings, 4xMSAA and 4xAF, HBAO off

Just had a few rounds with snowulf, on the TFU server, but he left 
ggs guys, i really need to get the hang of this my K : D was way down. Loads of fun tho look forward to coming back. Think my favourite mode is normal Rush, Hardcore is good for the bullet power but lacks teamwork cos of no spotting or map + i often have no clue where i am without the map on a new level

Im finding it easier to take out tanks on hardcore as a sniper, was able to run up beside snow while he was driving a tank and destory it with c4 before he knew i was there. Though i found it harder as an engi as i could barely dmg it unless i hit the tracks, even a rear shot seemed to do little dmg.

DF BHD was ace for this, used to get 2km headshots back in the days of 56k.
Took skill to snipe back then.
Specs wise, Q9450 @ 3.2ghz, 260 GTX 1680x1050.
Running everything on high except shadows on medium (im a sniper) 2x aniso, 2x MSAA.
Want to try HBAO but dont know what it is / does.
Runs silky smooth so reckon i can get more detail out of the gfx card.

Curious, you said because you're a sniper you put shadows on medium, why's this? Does it make people easier to see?

This did the trick for me...first time i've been able to see the TFU server at all. Trouble is, no one is online
Hardcore is such bs, i ended up in a hardcore server and was running about with the tomygun on atacama desert, was getting kills with it from stupid ranges. Literally could barely see the enemy but it was still dishing out death.
