I guess you had a higher regard for the previous BF games than I did then.
 
I came online and didn't see a single person online, me thinks I don't have certain people on my friends list because of that damn limitation

I miss the good old BC2 SQDM days with you guys. I'm not always on in the late evening but hope to catch up with you soon. I really hate the knife mechanics in BF3 and although it was nice to get a stab they were never as awesome as a flying ninja stab into someone's neck.
 
Yeah! I'm up for a game tonight, definately. I'll watch out for you guys on Mumble tonight. Can't pass up the opportunity for Frenchys tags! :P And yours Tealc! :D :D

I also only find about 15 servers when I search, gametracker seems to show loads more and i'm sure I used to as well (when I reinstalled the game).

No filters etc set. Strange. But definitely up for some games with you guys

Also whats the mumble server and I will come on that as well :)
 
I just checked my server browser and I see 581 servers.

Have added you PaulyD.UK. The friends system is a bit buggy in BC2 though and half of these requests seem to go astray.

Cheers mate, will have a look when in from work tonight. Never really played much of BC2 but getting into it a fair bit now so be good to play with some comms and a laugh too :)

Used to see a lot more servers like that as well, now I only find a couple under 100ms and most are in the 200ms range. No issues with CSS doing that and I don't have any filters set.

Will have a look/google tonight about it, if anyone else wants to add me the more the merrier :D
 
Nope, BT infinity about 15 metres from the cab, get solid 40mb down/10mb up, about 15ms ping in CSS/L4D2.

Its just BC2 that seems to give out a poor server list. Not sure why as was previously fine before.

Will double check some things tonight, try UPnP, check firewall, open ports etc etc..

It does take a bit of getting used to, particularly as you cant strafe like you can in bf3, (about one thing they did get right). But it's great that when you do shoot at someone, they go down.

Yep, far better game for tag collecting, ive played knife only servers in bf3, lucky if you get a strike twice in ten attempts. When you do it plays those silly animations. In bfbc2, if you got in amongst a huddled group of guys, time it right you could take out several with the knife.
 
Left my computer on at home so i can download it whilst i'm at work, i look forward to playing it again.

Had epic moment the other day, armed bomb at the M-Com station and hid away, two blokes came in to defuse, knifed both of them and bomb went off

Started using the knife a fair bit when get up close to people, had times where people are in a house and you can quickly just clear them out using the knife :)
 
Wow, i only just realised that BC2 has the Blackhawk, Hind and Apache and BF3 gets the Cobra, Huey and Kasatka wth?

Edit: Jeesh, the patrol boat, jet ski & quad bike, all could be usefull in BF3. Just re-reading the gadgets/weapons/vehicles off BC2 and it seems like loads of things where not included in BF3.
