I think it's a very sad day for the Battlefield franchise when people have to resort to calling BC2 a good game. It's not even a proper battlefield game lol. Take away the graphics and it's a crappy COD clone with a couple of vehicles chucked in. The gun mechanics are also awful and require little or no skill to play.

People are saying that it's better than BF3...which it is.

None of the Battlefield games have ever been that highly skill-based compared to real FPS games so there's really no change with BC2.

If they made some new maps for BC2 id stop playing bf3 right now,
we only play as a clan one day a week now but i always enjoy it more than bf3 which we play everyday

Yes still busy, plenty of servers still around although all my favourites aren't! Probably migrated to BF3.

Tbh, bf3 isnt a worthy successor to bf2/2142 either. The maps are too small with cluttered capture points, not enough vehicles. If anything, bf3 is trying to be more cod like, take the next dlc release, it's a carbon copy of cod.

Just found my disk copy, reinstalling now. Saves me a rather hefty download. Should also have the latest patches saved on an external drive.

I know what you mean. I was a big battlefield fan...played about 15 minutes of BC2 and realised how rubbish it is. Never touched it again.

I'm enjoying BC2. It has the element of the frenetic that BF3 doesn't seem to have (at least not in SQDM). That and I don't know if I can forgive what they did to the knife and tagging in BF3.....



I appreciate both games for what they are though. Both excellent and totally different to one another in everything but name...

Everything that makes BC2 good to these people is also everything that is wrong with Battlefield 3, so yes, I guess it is a better game in that sense. As I said though, it's a sad day for the Battlefield franchise.

Might install this again, i have been thinking about it lately.
