Just press escape key or cancel if your on about the server browser.

I exited Steam last night, not had a CTD or Punk Buster kick since, worth a try if your having trouble, obviously no good if your games through Steam.

it still does but if you prefer p2p mp games I wouldnt mind one less useless recon player

How do you know which DX version it's running on if you bought it on steam?

Windows XP: DirectX 9
Windows Vista: DirectX 10 or if your card supports 11 it'll be that.

The way to set it manually is to use Windows Search to go to the Settings.ini file and there's a line that says DXVersion or something similar, it'll be set to auto probably so you can manually change there if you wish by deleting auto and just adding the number.

Start> Documents > BFBC2 > GameSettings > Scroll all the way down to Favourite games and copy + paste this right after the equals, so, no spaces between the equals and this:

I am running all high with 4x at 1920x1200 and no lag/fps drop at all.
