Well the first map we were playing he was in my squad, I was picking off enemy snipers who were killing our guys and he was assault class defusing bombs and fighting house to house. An enemy plants the bomb and he comes up behind me and team kills me with a single shot to the head telling me I'm a noob for being recon and that I need to learn how to play etc. I told him I was killing enemy snipers and if I wanted to run around the map defusing bombs and fighting in houses then I'd switch to assault, at which point he started using caps, telling me I need to learn to play and that I'm a noob among other things.

I told him if he kept on then I'd need to get an admin in and he just laughed at me. The map finished and we switched maps at which point a TFU admin came on and he completely changed persona, starting laughing with people, joking, he denied the entire teamkilling and chat abuse scenarios and was adamant he hadn't team killed or called me anything...

So it's just my word against his in the end. After that one map where he acted like a jerk he seemed to calm down but if it happens again then I'm not going to be happy.
 
Hmmm wonder why servers are down in the middle of the day, it's always been 7pm+ when America's peak time hits.

Hopefully they'll be up by the time I'm home!

I can promis you that if we hear or see anything like this we will give an instant ban. I'm not sure if he uses vent i shall have a look later.
 
The servers playing up , but I think it's an EA issue since it's maintenance day and they did announce something punkbuster related.

This is why either looking at KDR or score-per-round is meaningless... you can just play a particular class in a particular way to do insanely well at either.

You can't quantitatively measure how 'helpful' you were to anyone from your stats as you can just as well get a 20-0 kill count and lose as 20k points and lose. Make a new soldier now, join only noobcore servers and exclusively play a filthy camping recon and watch as you maintain at minimum a 5:1 KDR on your account all the way up the ranks.

What they've managed to do is create a game where your stats can look decent and you can have a gagillion points without actually really being much use to anyone, it isn't really rewarding contribution or skill, just persistence and your choice of spam. You don't have to willfully go out your way to 'fiddle' your stats either for that to be relevant, everyone has a play-style they will fit into some will favor KDR, some will favor Points, some will cover both pretty well some will fail miserably at both. Regardless, none of it in anyway measures your actual impact on the pointless public servers you happen to have won/lost on... and the meaninglessness of both the theatre of play and the stats generated transfers very neatly to the jpeg based epeenage.

No problem mate, I'm not looking for anyone to get banned for the sake of it, you don't need to look into it again or anything, I'm sure if he does anything stupid like that again there'll be more complaints. :)

OK Im trying to play BC2 at 1680 * 1050 on medium setting with AA/AF at 1. At stock I get average 35fps.

Last night I overclcoked my 8800GT to 700/17**(not sure what this was)/1000. BC2 got artifacts and froze just after 5 mins of gameplay.

Im thinking of increasing the voltages to see if I can get some stable OC speeds, does anyone know how I go about doing this.

You'll want the graphics cards sub forum mate, not the BC2 thread.

You could flash potentially risky there's probably otherways of doing it

copy and paste this below to your user name/my documents folder/BFBC2/gamesettings/FavouriteGames(near the bottom) add it directly after the =with no space like this.
