haha dont worry about that mate, problem with most servers is their either empty or full, never naything in the middle!

anyone else whos hosting finding their server about as stable as a horse on ice this morning ? We've had mass disco's within 20 mins of each other and I can see one of the TFU ones is empty as well S

I dont know mate i cant see jack, i'm in work and gametracker is down. Our big server doesn't usually fill up until the afternoon.

Whats the matter your servers are crashing? i know R9 is due soon?

its being weird, it started up at 6:30 am and ran till about 10 then everyone was disco'd as the server crashed, rcon was kicked off and the server went grey in game, so we rebooted it and filled it again after about 10 mins and within 5 mins of having 32/32 in the same thing happened.

Speaking to KC they said prior to both crashes it un synced with the plasma back end (not that again, they said they fixed that in R6).

Even now though its full for the 3rd time today ive never seen so many disconnects and joining players in one round, its almost as if the player turnover is at about 75% each round, its like players cant stay connected.

Hmmm very strange. I think our SQDM server hasbeen full since tuesday, i dont think thats had any disconnects!

It is coming soon mate, the problem we've got is we are so paranoid about the server crashing we like to keep as little 3rd party tools as possible. However with the new R9 server release due, providing they are stable we will run mix modes on the server, either way we’ll be getting another 32 slot server as soon as we get 3 more paying admin in.

EDIT: I'l get the guys to put mix map on for the weekend, as its the best time to test it. Because if the server crashes like last time we can turn them off and server fill back up

How much do you charge I may be interested in joining in?

We ask for £8/month but of course you have to be active in vent and be in the clan. We have a dedicated TFU bank account which people have set up standing orders to. All the money we get never goes in our pocket but spent on improving the clan. We have a css server also.

goon would u mind copying the gametracker links in the server admins' signatures (like urs, uv's and LOAM's) and putting them in the initial post so it's easy to see which is populated at any one time?

I got this the other week and I'm loving it at the moment. Makes a nice alternative to TF2 without being too different. I didn't get it on release as I thought it was too vehicle based which I don't like. However, that doesn't seem to be the case which is a win in my book.

I'm still learning the game and getting used to the maps, so I've got a long way to go skill wise. I'm also used to the more in your face, fast paced FPSs like TF2 and Unreal Tournament, so I've got that to adjust to too.

I've been playing a bit on the hardcore TFU server with an OcUK tag on so some of you may have seen me about. I didn't use to like hardcore mode at first, but once I got used to it, I think I prefer it. I'll have bit more time to play over the weekend and you may even see me on vent if I can be bothered to plug in my headset!

Goon / FT and the rest of you, I think for the next few days we should organise a "round robin " morning server start group, if we can get 10 or so of us together to fill them up then move on we should manage to get through the fiasco of a server patch until they release the damn client patch that needs to go with it.
