Well after a week of playing with BF 'Cops and Robbers' it is as I had feared, not Battlefield at all but more like Call of Duty meets GTA. Maps are tiny, although they have good vertical height, which has already made the Beta a snipers paradise. The maps have too many choke points and it is very reminiscent of BF3 Metro. With eight players per team it was running pretty smooth, with 16 a side, it turned into a huge lagfest, with player names taking upto 2 seconds to appear and stuttery gameplay. I think the devs have missed a huge trick, not making all of the vehicles in game driveable.
The graphics themselves (PS4) are reminiscent of BC2 on an XBox360, sefinitely not next gen. Levolution has been added to the game (tower crane collapses) and has the same effect as in BF4, dragging the whole game framerate down to 5 - 10 fps (lets face it, Levolution sucks).
Weapons choices are similar to BF4 and IMHO just as badly, if not worse, implemented, with EAs own brand of balistics, that have no comparisson to their real world counterparts. Annoying issues like the EOTECH holographic sight on the M4, the red dot and ring obscure the target and dont project a holographic sight over the image. Plus the recoil is unwieldy.
Overall this does not look like Battlefield, it does not feel like Battlefield and does not play like Battlefield. Is it a AAA Title ? Definitely not, it feels and plays more like a mod. Value wise I'd pay £20 max for it, just for novelty value, otherwise I'll stick with Brokenfield 4 and hope that eventually they fix it.
