How is the game?. Been very tempted to get this but held off so far. Is the main difference between this and Battlefield 4 the air vehicles?

technically ? the game is perfect. Smoothest launch of a battlefield game yet.

There are a few balancing issues in the weapons, but nothing game breaking. Its just some weapons get much more used than others and others have literally no reason to choose them and they are pointless.

Providing you can get over the lack of content in the game, its good fun to play. Its not massively low, but you can tell there are less guns than previous battlefield games.

I quite fancy playkng as the enforcer. But it only has battle rifles and shotguns available to it. And there are 4 shotguns, and 4 battle rifles.

Hardly a great amount of choice. But once you've got over that its still fun.

Hotwire has made money completely pointless, far too easy to rack for 25th in no time.

Not really. It still saves you having to grind out a class you don't like just to get one or two unlocks which might be top of the tree.

Now I tend to disagree, if Dice made everything a massive grind people would complain that they'd have to spend money to buy gold battle packs and stuff. GTA Online is a money grind and everyone complains.

Only picked this up yesterday and this happened to me earlier on..... it amused me immensely. :D

That was lucky :D.

Been playing single player and enjoying it so far. The MP hasn't grabbed me yet it just feels like there's something missing.

Its a Battlefield Game aimed more towards Cod players, You get a feeling they put Cars & Trucks into this game just so they could say it isnt a Cod type Game

Believe it or not, it's a 'cops & robbers' themed battlefield game. The only thing this has in common with cod is the fact that they are both FPS'.

Tanks would be a bit out of place on this game, so I believe they have been left out for balancing and better immersion.

Thing is, what a battlefield game means to people is entirely subjective.

For some people. battlefield is Bad Company 2.

Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 had too many jets and vehicles for them and they wanted the more infantry combat focused BC2. These are the players that liked Operation Metro, Seine Crossing, Grand Bazar etc.. in BF3 and disliked the big expansion maps whereby unless you wanted to drive a tank or fly something, youd spend most of your time humping across an empty map only to get to a control point and be blown apart by an armored vehicle you couldn't touch. Levelcap produced a video on "what was wrong with battlefield" and his top 10 list of things of wrong could basically be summed up as "Battlefield 4 wasn't bad company 3" and he got flamed for it in the comments, but equally there were plenty of people agreeing with him. Battlefield is different things to different people.

Battlefield Hardline appears to exactly those sorts of bad company battlefield players.

Very interesting summary there! I kind of agree as well. I really enjoyed BF4, but after some time if went stale. BF3 was far more enjoyable as vehicles were not so prolific (well, not on the maps I liked).

I played initial beta and wasn't impressed but your above comments make sense and kind of make me want to try it!

Well I am enjoying the single player game a fair bit at the moments and graphically it's pretty decent. I like it the cops theme and I dare say the best SP game in the BF franchise so far. I'm currently half way through with all of the warrants arrested on veteran.

actually i think the damage system was superior in those bad company games

Played some Heist and Blood money last night, had some decent rounds. Some of the maps are a bit cramped in my opinion and turn into a bit of random chaos (shanty town style level springs to mind) but I've enjoyed it more than I did originally.

Shanty town one? Only one I can think of off the top of my head is the one in the projects. I really like that map - it is a small map but due to shape of it generally means only fighting on the front line. With the money being right in the middle it is a case of pushing the enemies line back or finding some way to sneak through to collect some cash. Even more fun running a shotgun and molotovs :D

My only real complaint about this (and all BF's that I remember) is snipers aren't OHK to the chest. The amount of times I do 80 damage to a player as I missed the headshot and hit them in the chest is annoying as usually run off before I can get a second shot off.

they are one hit kill, but only at close range.

Stick on a low range scope and go aggressive :)

The Professional sniper rifle unlock (the .300 knockout) is a OHK to the chest up to about 50m.

Yea, I bought the AWM but there's no real reason to use it over the scout.

Both are 1 shot headshot kills, neither are 1 shot chest kills and the scout is semi auto so the AWM is kind of pointless.

I haven't looked at the figures for them but thee semi auto ones don't have the damage to and certaintly don't feel like they do. Even something like the scout elite doesn't seem to. Going to have to play around with them some more until I find one I like.

I saw a video on the .300 and I want it. Is there anyway to see what challenges you have to do? I know what the challenges are but can't find info on where to my progress through it.

The one with police cars dotted about. :)

I bought this as I thought it looked great in the trailers.

Have to say I'm loving it so far! Played one campaign episode and about 2 1/2 hours multilayer so far. Can't see me getting bored for ages. I agree that it is more bad company than the more recent efforts in the series and I like the cops and robbers twist. Having fun, got to learn all the guns and that been basically playing with original loadouts so far. Anyway that's all I came to say haha.

Ps if anyone wants to add me on psn my username is iamdjdz
