I'm waiting to see if the backlash changes anything but will be cancelling my preorder as well if it doesn't.

I'm worried for the impact this will have on my clan as well. Especially as we have our own dedicated server prepaid and those aren't cheap. No point in being in a clan now really.

Time for a new competitive MP game I think.
 
Not too concerned to be honest, MP looks pretty much the same as COD4, but with extra guns, etc.

If these claims are true, I'll be quite content with simply 'aquiring' the game for the SP portion and just carry on playing COD4 MP.

If these happens to BF3 though ... :eek:

Theyve clearly been leaning this direction since cod2, that was the start of the console crap and this is the money shot so to speak. They quite obviously couldnt give a crap about the fanbase that actually made their games have any significance in the first place, both moh:aa and cod were pc games initially that got a lot of attention. Then they hopped on the 360 bandwagon and flipped us the bird.
 
This is a kick in the knackers for all pc gamers as i truly believe this is the start of the end. Even if your not in a clan most people have favourite servers they would play on all the time and would see other regular players on these servers. To take that away from players now is a huge step backwards. Whats next? you start MW3 on your PC and get a message stating 'NO CONTROLLER DETECTED, PLEASE CONNECT YOUR XBOX CONTROLLER TO THIS PC'

Having dedicated servers is the best thing ever. Just like you described kingy666, lots of people have their favourite servers to play on. Ok, we get that consoles are big money. But there is no innovation there. Just about all of the big games now, have some small root in PC gaming. Surely companies owe it to us, to continue supporting PC gamers. If you **** us off on our favourite platform, what makes you think we will jump ship to a console? What can a PS3 or Xbox 360 do what my PC can't?

My thoughts exactly. If they had been open and honest about this from the beginning, I wouldn't have been happy with it but I still would have purchased the game knowing the SP would be excellent. As it stands currently, I won't be buying the game but I'll still find a way to check out SP.
