*** Official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Thread ***

Hey all,

Just got a second hand xbox 360 with MW2 which I will probably suck at as I am a PC gamer not console! Any chance anyone could toss me a 48 hour trial code as I am waiting on new bank card to turn up hopefully Tuesday to get a subscription. Gamertag: Xanthaphir (wow char name don't ask I need a better one)!

Just don't enter you bank details on the console to buy it, you would be much better off buying a 1 year subscription card online, since you would save £12 then you also have the added bonus of it not trying to charge you £40 automatically every year.
 
I had to spin around quickly to see what the hell had just happened. I was greeted with a plume of smoke and when it cleared I saw the flag just lying there. I then twigged what had happend.

Went with a bloody loud bang.

Then the game of invasion as well, when we hid in that corridor.

held back? its the same engine, sure there will be a slight difference but i dont think it will play a major factor in online play.

although thinking about it, the coding is completely different, online simply wouldnt work this way unless they came up with a standardised system. it wont ever happen though. just going to make people want to pirate in order to have the game on both.
 
Well I played off a USB 3G dongle with 64ms and got my arse handed to me! I managed to get about 19 kills in 3 games, never played it before so :P
 
Well I've owned an Xbox before and all the other consoles, just prefer shooting games on a PC but it was a challenge to get used to. I'll give it another go later, waiting for my cousin to logon so he can give me some money in Fable 2 ;)
 
Some of these maps for FFA are disgusting to play on. On Wasteland I nearly lost to a 12 year old all because everyone on the map except me ran into the bunker and died to him. He was Tac inserted in there, but none of them destroyed it so he would get killed, respawn instantly and get easy double kills, I finished that game 30-7, he was 26-19. It also didn't help that there was an idiot with constant painkiller, it took a full clip of ACR to drop him usually meaning I got shot while reloading. I mean really who thought death streaks were a good idea? You've died so much that I am going to reward you with double health just to **** off everyone in the game!

I just hope the next game is better but I'm not holding my breath.

I don't know what the big attraction of the bunker is - it's a death trap - but everyone seems to want to go in there to camp and get killed by me ha ha ha

not many seem to use the static guns - you can rack up some very quick hits with it - takes people by surprise - range on them is superb- just spray and hope :)
 
A hardcore Modern Warfare 2 fan is attempting to level up to rank 70 in multiplayer without killing a single enemy player.

"I've already hit Prestige five times. I thought it would be something interesting to do," Glen McCracken told Game Informer.

When he began, McCracken was using a riot shield and flash bang grenades but he's since stopped using the special grenades because they're "too risky". I.e. he might accidentally kill someone who's low on life.

Playing as Mr_No_Kills on PlayStation Network, McCracken had reached level 11, dying 272 times but killing no one, by late last night. Apparently he reckons it will take two months to complete his task.

And to think, some of us couldn't even be bothered to finish the stupid favela level in the single-player campaign. Couldn't. See. Anyone.

Think i'll hold off until my new ISP comes next week, was hitting someone in the head for about 3 seconds to find out I am not even where I was standing on my screen. Dongle played amazing earlier, evening usage made it go downhill!

Oh, I officially suck at console shooters too ;)
