*** Official Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Thread ***

I tried that this morning but it just wouldn't work.

Single player -> Mission Select -> Act 1 -> S.S.D.D -> it starts
Single player -> Mission Select -> Act 1 -> Team Player -> difficulty select

SSDD determines the hardness of the game also SSDD gives it's own achievment.

After the level finishes (SSDD) choose veteran play through the first level (Team Player) and the achievment will pop. At least it did for me.
 
Ahhh yes, I remember now when I got the pit boss achievement that it kept saying Veteran was the recommended setting. Shame I didn't complete it and just quit back to the main menu. :mad:
 
Any one else having problems? Quite often recently it gets stuck on the map loading graphic (Screen with a pic of the map, game type, and map name), usually its on "Waiting for other players.." or "Setting up game..". Used to get it every so often now its every few lobbies. Only way out is either dashboard or wait 5mins for it to time out :mad:.

Thought id finished the game on veteran and then realised,i still have one mission left,just done last mission but realised i started it on the mission select screen and missed the snow mission :(.Why is everyone playing halo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not, just sold it on the MM pile of carp, I knew I shouldn't have bought it.

Wasn't on tonight as I have just finished Heavy Rain - now thats a game.

I imagine I'll only be playing it until I've whored all the achievements out of it although I must say I'm enjoying the multiplayer more than I did in Halo 3 for some reason.

i only realy liked the single player on halo,the multi was ok for a laugh,but i would end up just jumping up and down with rocket launcher,or trying to run people down in the vehicles.I am gonna stick with mw2 untill black ops comes out,but i am not having high hopes about black ops,i can see the multiplayer beeing terrible
 
im just playing halo for a laugh, never played one before so not taking it serious and my stress level went miles down compared to playing mw2 and getting killed by some knob head

I'm thinking all the add on stuff (one in the chamber on p2p connection with lag don't make me laugh) although new and fresh will be carp (until i'm proven wrong)), and you got to admit the killstreaks are hugely dulled down (one of the best points of MW2 no matter how much people moan about it), I'm just hoping the maps have variety and the gameplay is up to scratch on the more common play modes.
