****Official Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 thread****

i just watched the trailer on youtube and cant describe how poor i think it looks and i had to lol at this comment...


these graphics are bad because infinity ward release their beta's onto PC's first and then they capturecard it, dont worry about the graphics they are gonna be insane!

Well, it may turn out to be a realy fun game, but it looks exactly the same as MW2.

I do like the fact that they are trying to discourage camoing with certain game types etc... that is a nice touch.

For years I'v wanted a fps that only gave you points for actually constributing to your teams objectives rather than kills etc.. and MW3 sounds like it will have a few game types for this.
 
My little brother just came in and said its a skinned version of MW2. Now he's a massive CoD fanboy aswell, so this could mean I could convert him to BF3.
 
Technically and graphically there is no comparison between BF3 and MW3.

I mean come on, BF3 will be up to 32vs32, where as MW3 is probably capped at 9vs9!

The only fan base MW3 could build is the more arcadey and maybe more old school pro players that just want a fast paced shooter etc..

Im pretty sure black ops got rated by ign as having better sound than bad company 2, even though sound is one of BC2's major strong points.


At least its comforting to know where a chunk of the marketing cash goes, reviewers back pockets, so we can pretty much discount reviews as being relative on the whole.

I stopped bothering with reviews much after the Gamespot Kane&Lynch controversy where Gerstmann got fired for giving an honest review, and not inflating the games score just because the games publisher had bought a load of advertising space all over the site.

I really hate that this series has turned into an utter cash cow and it really doesn't look much different to MW2. But it has spec-ops, and I love MW2 spec-ops :( I'll be sorely tempted to buy it just for that alone.
 
My fiance bought a purse, I said "Don't you have a purse that looks just like that?" She said "Don't you have a Call of Duty game that looks just like that."

So has Stopping Power been removed? I always had to use that but i've started play hardcore lately and there's no need for it. I just use a silenced Raffica and can bring down anyone with a couple of hits.

Would be nice if I can bring down people in MW3 with a couple of hits. The thing I don't like about BFBC2 is that the enemy takes a full clip to bring them down and it's just not realistic.
