**OFFICIAL** Carling Cup Final Thread - Aston Villa Vs. Man Utd - 28/2/10 - Wembley

Can anyone see Villa getting a win out of this?

I can...

It's been a long time since anyone has retained the Carling Cup
We've never won in 90 minutes at the new Wembley
Friedel always has blinders against us
Dunne always has blinders against us

That said...

We've lost and drawn against Villa so far so law of averages says we're due a win
I reckon Owen starting could be a masterstroke

Fingers crossed :)

The subs are:

Villa: Guzan, Luke Young, Sidwell, Carew, Delfouneso, Delph, Beye.

United: Foster, Neville, Brown, Rooney, Scholes, Gibson, Diouf.

Hehe. Come on Villa. Gotta be a red card though as he is the last man. Any other team it would be a red i'm afraid.

Still, we all know United will get the all of the breaks and get back in it :p

Shocking refereeing that was a red all day long

Bottled it

This...no doubt it should have been a red:D...speedfreak i suggest you take your red tinted glasses off:p:D

Villa looking good so far...hope they put a few more past Utd...wonder how much Fergie time will be added as well:p:D

I don't have the benefit of sky+ so can't see it again, but I was certain on the replay that he was falling over from a grab to his shirt before the contact with the leg. :)
