judging by results i should actuall try ME 2 again ? disliked the demo...


RDR or heavy rain for me. both great

BC2 is twice the game black ops will ever be too so dont understand that one

haha what? fifa is like one of the best selling games in the UK. really surprised it aint on that list.

List is flawed big time. mass effect 2? many people rated the first one better:confused:

And Bayonetta? first time i heard of that game and looking at ratings of the game. it seems like an ok game

List was made by asking for people to vote for their top three in another thread and then those with them most votes went into the finals. If that's a flawed measure of finding the top 10 games for a forum i don't know what wouldn't be flawed.

he is kinda right of a sense. X-factor style voting to find the best game isnt really going to guarantee the best game will be on top.

Its a shame that a run of the mill generic fps will beat a genuinely innovative mature adult game. That just tells us what the demographic of ocuk is like :p

Oh that i agree with. But we're not finding the BEST game here, we're finding the MOST POPULAR game, finding the best game has never been the aim as amongst a group of people that's pretty much impossible. Different people have different ideas of what makes a good game, at least this way we find out which game appeases the masses most.

I'm just glad to see Heavy Rain getting a decent share of votes, it shows i'm not alone in wanting something new and interesting.

This board is full of philistines! Bayonetta is arguably the best game of its type, and is easily one of the best games of this gen. It takes 100s of hours and the reflexes of a ninja to master, is technically stunning (constant 60fps!) and polished to death. It's a great reminder, along with Demon Souls and too few others, that there are still games out there that can offer a challenge and some depth.

I was torn, it was only going to be heavy rain or Mass effect 2. Both fantastic games.

I sided with Mass Effect 2 in the end though, as I just love the universe.

I do pray however that they keep on making games like heavy rain, Adult\Mature entertainment at its best(Without the need for tissues or durex)
 
voted for heavy rain it was a breath of fresh air for the gaming community on a whole :D
Did and still do play a lot of demon souls but due to me having the asian version i dont really class it as being released this year even though the pal release was :)

Well said. Thought Bayonetta was a stunning game.

Voted for BC2 though for the total hours of enjoyment I got (get) from it.

Decent list. All worthy imo.

Voted Bad Company 2. Purely because I played it so much compared to the others.

Haven't completed mass effect 1 yet so couldn't really vote for mass effect 2 because I haven't played it! :/
I would have also voted for Heavy Rain but only really played it for half hour around a friends house, Never got the chance to get fully into it but from what I played it was great.

RDR game of the year? that was pretty pants to be honest.

Still not getting all the Black Ops votes!

I only started using Xbox Live when MW2 came out as it was the first game that felt as if skill mattered on a console, then got BC2 which just feels like a 'proper' skilled shooter, where tactics/teamplay and aim (bullets drop over distance etc) actually count.

My mate bought Black Ops when it was released and we put a few hours into it but now the CoD games just feel very 'watered' down FPS's.

Each to their own I suppose! I can see why people don't like BF, unless you are in a good squad and you know what you are doing it is a VERY hard game to get to grips with.
