still ME2 well in the lead....im gonna be awfully dissapointed if when i pick it up in January for ps3 it isnt quite literally sex on a stick...i mean its tanking everyone easily...
 
as people have already pointed out thread is full of fail already...i guess all people seem to do nowadays is play cod...GOTY my ass.

Bayonetta for me, the most iconic/different IP to come to consoles for years...amazingly well crafted. ME2 would be second choice but played that on pc so doesnt count really.

you understand that Bayonetta is nominated in most if not all game sites polls for GOTY? a universal accliam of 90+ kinda shows its a great game well worth a nod, not an 'OK' game as you seem to want to make it out to be....not sure how you havent heard of it before given it was the most talked about game pre and during launch in feb this year.

Out of the ones I've played (6 of them) Red Dead really stands out for me, so easily gets my vote.

As a game character, John Marston is right up there with Nathan Drake in terms of quality & caring about what happens to him (maybe even more so).

But then again, I'm sure Black Ops will be/is as well - and I personally would never call that a 'great' game!
 
GT5 and BO are the only games mentioned I've played. Both blown out of the water by MW2 still.
 
Had to vote Mass Effect 2 even though I didn't actually get it on a console purely because I think it's the game of the year from that list, Demon's Soul's and Red Dead Redemption both get honourable mention for being my most enjoyed pure console games of the year.
 
Voted Black Ops, but having completed both ME1 and ME2 over the past fortnight ME2 would be my vote now. Best games I've played in a LONG time and show why story and character are so important.
