Looks like very few people playing in Europe, there were only a couple of servers with more than 2/3 people in.

Is it possible to rent a CS:GO server during the beta? I'd be happy to pay for one if we could get some OcUK members playing regularly.

You sure your ports are forwarded? I get about 500+ servers with about 90 at the moment that have people playing on them, all under 100 ping.

I think I was being too specific with my filters (europe and < 50ms was killing the number of results).

So mixed feelings really. I played CS many years ago to a competitive level and it still has the CS "feel" it's just difficult to get used to and adapt after all this time.

It feels very clunky at first but after a while I began to get used to it. The hit registration seems a bit random, not like in BF3 for example but just the way the bullets hit when burst firing.

I really think it has potential though, at first I hated it but began to warm to it after a while. The AWP was good fun to use again but I struggled to get used to the AK47 and M4 for the CT. Everything just feels so heavy and laboured. Maybe we have been spoilt with the COD franchise and expectations are now different?

I like the maps, but Arms Race?
They have taken the Core of GunGame, but without actually using the fun parts of it, such as knifing to steal levels, nade level, and even sounds. They have sucked the fun out of it. The levels are also so small, that the spawn protection can actually make it across the other side of the map with you.

As for the other, not sure at all.

+1, Arms Race is no where near as fun as GunGame.

I've played it for a few hours over the weekend. I do like it although it feels a lot more "arcadey" than CS:S/1.6.

The buy menu is a pain.

Will definitely enjoy playing it for a good while though.

I'm singing the same tune as the rest in asking where would I get/purchase a key? I haven't played any other CS games but seeing how competitive they are and this being cross-platform I'll have to get involved! Competitive FPS is my home :D.

I played CSS at a relatively high level and just had my first game of CS:GO and quite enjoyed it, Jumping does feel floaty and the game was laggy even though I had a decent ping, On one round the terrorists planted the bomb and we killed them but 3 of us couldn't find the bomb, it had glitched out and planted inside a crate,

Even with the bad points it still gives me a rare feeling that only CS really gives me where I am the last member of my team alive and I'm trying to pick off the rest of their team, I get a tight feeling in my stomach and a rush when I manage to pick off the last guy, No other game gives me such a feeling

^ Ooh I love the zombie mod, dont like that set of zombie models though and I hope the zombie maps work in CS:GO.

Anyone know when the public beta will be opened? Still waiting desperately to try the new one out! :(

Got my Beta invite from Valve tonight. Was a nice surprise when I got home from work to check out today's sales.

Looks pretty good to me so far. Only tried a bit of the classic gameplay but will give the new modes a go later on.
