I would hazard a guess at Crysis 3 being more demanding than Farcry 3

So yes

Not looking good for my rig...

i5 750 @4ghz
8gb RAM
GTX670

Will there be a demo? I'm not down with spending £55 ( ) on something that may look or run worse than Crysis 1

Crysis 1, 1440p, no mods, Amazonia River map

The crysis 3 beta ran very well on my rig:

- i5 750
- MSI 7850 2GB OC
- 8GB RAM
- 1080P

mostly max settings, shadows settings where set to medium preset and 1 or 2 other things set to the second highest setting iirc.

Had to turn of AA completely though as the game was unplayable then, everyone else seemed to have the same problem too.

I expect the final game to run a lot better!

Get yourself the newest beta driver from this thread:

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18489725

The beta5 brought improvements to Crysis3, I imagine there could be more tweaks with this one.

If you haven't already, oc your 7950/ 3570k a bit.

:)

best thing is there are many mods which make the crysis games very good fun.

you could argue that they shouldnt need mods but if mods are free whats the problem.

Still interested to know how you got a copy from Origin India, 4 months ago.
Sounds like BS to me.

Has this released in the US yet?

I tried the vpn(US this time) again and it still wouldn't work.

It seems very average from what I have read and seen. More Crysis 2.5 than 3. Hopefully it will be good as after the crud that was Colonial marines I need something decent to play.

This person pretty much sums up what I was thinking it may turn out to be. I love the large environments open gameplay of Crysis and Farcry. All the others seem to just bundle down one path. To me a game should be about putting you in a huge environment and saying "accomplish this" then leave you too it... not, you HAVE to walk down this path. The main reason games like System Shock and Deus Ex were awesome

So Crysis 1 and Warhead were the best ones in the series so far… Lol.

In my opinion Crytek has gone to **** when console development started. They were always PC devs and they knew what was best for the platform.

Far Cry 1 was excellent, Crysis 1 was excellent, Warhead was decent but nothing spectacular. Warhead was more of a soulless addon to the first Crysis. At least gameplay was there.

Crysis 2 was **** and this one i’m still going to try out. I guess it is going to be the same POS as the second game but I loved the first game and previous Crytek games. I want to try it.

P.S. People who played say that it is a CoD game with dumbed down suit and ” “Follow there” missions” with stupid Console boss fights and small environments… Great Crysis game.

Not looking great for console people either

The framerate on the console version drops to the LOW 20′s, making it almost unplayable. so it is junk and not worth full price for sure…

Crysis 3 is more of a benchmark which has been modified in to a game, than a game from start to finish.

But I think that's what they where going for, and people will still buy it, becuase it is CRYSIS afterall and it is the most 'stunning game out at the moment'.

I want buy it untill it's on sale.
