Official Crysis Demo thread

Forum member 'Super' is a complete legend, mate i just downloaded this demo in 15 mins thanks to you, where did u get that link from? Cant believe an EA link is maxxing everybodys connections!! Its installing, cant wait :)
 
WTF is going on, a major demo release and people actually getting more than 5kb/s?!?!?!!

Downloading now, going to give this another chance after the shoody MP beta which was turd.

If it's crap I won't be bothered as I haven't been affected by the "zomg graphics are 1337" hype.
 
People here are acting extremely immaturely by calling it a flop. Does it look great on medium? sure does! Is the gameplay the same? sure is! Besides, high runs alright on my rig, not perfectly but it runs, and what are you really expecting, your rigs can run anything else than this, you've known that all the time, Crysis devs have said that the requirements will be sick for all this time and you didn't listen!
 
Farcry was the same, it would run in the 20-30 fps on high end hardware when set to high quality.

Problem is i reckon this will be like farcry in terms of gameplay too, all graphics, no soul. But that's just a prediction, only time will tell.

485kb/s on my 4mb connection, I'm surprised considering who my supplier is that I actually get decent speeds.

It was a good game, gameplay was fine it was just the story got a little silly...
