Just finished "I Shall Wear Midnight" by Terry Pratchett which I quite enjoyed and am now stuck in book limbo, my copy of "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" has gone wandering and my copy of "Towers of Midnight" has yet to arrive.

There must be a book somewhere in my collection that I am yet to read.

Started 'Decision Points' by George Bush this morning at work and can't put it down. Never ever ever thought I'd read it, let alone enjoy. A mate gave it to me last night after I was gagging for something to read and I had a quick look this morning. No doubt a lot of it is damage repair and blatant lies, but enjoyable enough to give a unique view into what shaped Bush and our world the past decade. Well worth the read.

Just finished Jonathan Strange and Mr Norell by Susanna Clarke. Fantastic book. Before that I read The Name of The Wind by Patrick Rothfus, another interesting book.

Right now I am reading Idoru by William Gibson and Them and Us by Will Hutton on the side.

I think a trip to the charity store is in order to pick up some new randoms!

Just finished 'Emergency Sex (And Other Desperate Measures)' by Kenneth Cain, Heidi Postlewait and Andrew Thomson. It was very good, all about civilians working in UN war zones.
Now onto 'Wasting Police Time' by David Copperfield. Based on his blog, found it in my bookshelf and not sure where it came from. Entertaining read, good bedtime reading book.
I've also got 'The Great Gatsby' by F. Scott Fitzgerald beside my toilet atm.

Been on an American politico binge (Decision Points by Dubya and True Compass by Kennedy) and just finished 'America by Heart' from Sarah Palin. That was enough to put me off that particular binge. Let's just say, sometimes you screw up and waste money on a book. Not to worry. Also been reading A Painted House by Grisham, the only book by him I haven't read yet. After that I'll be tackling African Diary by Bryson, the only books of his I haven't read yet.

Thought I would bump this thread!

Just finished Starter for 10 by David Nicholls. Thoroughly enjoyed it, and am about to start another of his, The Understudy, when I get chance this week

Big into all things zombies since getting The Walking Dead compendium at Christmas.

Have read World War Z, Zombie Survival Guide, Day by Day Armageddon (+ Beyond Exile), Warm Bodies (surprisingly awesome) and Zombie Apocalypse! which I found for cheap at Asda.

Currently reading Zombie Apocalypse! - it's based on a collection of blogs, emails, diary entries and even a Twitter account of an outbreak in Britain. It's been an interesting read, particularly one doctor's account of his own turning.

(Just to balance the books - pardon the pun - I've also read the Alexander trilogy and Conn Iggulden's latest Khan novel. I like me some 'faction'.)

Just finished The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. Was pretty much awesome till book 5, 6 went nosediving into the ground but the King has cajones for book number 7. Did not expect that.

I'm also reading Terry Pratchett's discworld series. Currently on Book 12, The Witches. A hilarious series of fantasy books.

Upon insistence by a mate, I've picked up The Lincoln Lawyer by Michael Connelly and read it in 3 sittings. Instantly hooked. Bought all four books in the Mickey Haller series and started Brass Verdict on the plane coming back from Greece this morning. Half way through and will probably finish tonight.

Blast from the past: Dragons of Autumn Twilight.

The orignal and best along with the other two in the series Dragons of Winter Night and Dragons of Spring Dawning and followed by the twins series, Time of the Twins, War of the Twins and Test of the Twins.

Raistlin has got to be one of my all time favorite mage characters to read...

--------------------------

Just started Lonesome Dove, epic book, you don't see that many westerns being published now so this makes a good change from my usual reads.. Realy enjoying the characters in the story.
