Cheers mate, what's the easiest way of getting involved with others does ocuk have a group?

Far as I know, OcUK don't have a group. But look for DC Raiders on Facebook. But I would suggest, getting the game first (or see if someone has a buddy key to trial it). Then if the game is to your liking, purchase it, get online, level up as much as you can, join the FB page then ask to be in the league in game and go from there

OK lvl 6 Hero Tank on EU server Reailty Worlds - Pipilongsocks!

CK - I think I might just stay EU bud, the amount of trouble I have had as you know, just dont want to **** it up!! I do have a lvl 3 on Zero Hour when I did play that 1 hour back on luanch day!

Is it better to choose 1 path of power in your traits? of good to mix it up?

No worries dude. I would stay on EU after the issues you had. Good job you're on tho. And yeah best to mix up your power traits. It helps

Staff good for an ice tank CK? so far got points in Bow and duel wielding. aiming for the dominance in Hand Blasters next. Quite like the bow.

What build you got for your power points btw?

The staff is by far the best weapon for an Ice tank. In fact for any role it is awesome. When you do the Focused Spin (holding down the right mouse button), you don't take damage so it helps. Also for Ice Tank, I would highly recommend mixing up Storms and Cryogenics. Cos in the Cryogenics tree you have Reflection. Use this to deflect back the next 3 attacks from your attacker and they take additional damage from it. It does save your life when used at a crucial moment. I tend to spam it as much as possible

I need to look into Cryogenics, all my points are in storms atm for both offensive and defensive. I went 2H Hammer, slow as hell but it dishes out the damage, especially with most the movement combo's going. Need to look into staffs but does it do any more damage over a 2H hammer? I assume that the staff is faster on it's attacks but for slightly less dps?

The 2 handed hammer does dish out more dps. I have the hammer and staff and also I am specced out for dual wield swords. When I am in tank I use the hammer and in dps mode I use the staff. The Hammer I have currently has 18 dominance so it helps to increase my dom when in tank mode. The staff at present gives out more dps than the hammer. So it's really worth noting that you should spec out for other weapons. Especially if you're in a duo/alert/raid and a purple version of the weapon drops, you can get some serious points out of them. The hights dps on a weapon you can get from these raids is 97.1. And that's when you're ready to give hell

When I was in beta, I got a purple hammer, staff and dual wield swords. All of them giving out 97.1dps. That's why I am sticking with those bad boys now

The reason I used music was cos I was on the Ventrilo at the same time and you could hear us talk. As for the effects for ingame, I have turned them down. So hush it And Rage Against The Machine is not a poor choice of music.

Sticking with the 2H hammer atm, going to max out the 2H attack tree to see what happens when all points are in there at 30 and then will respec if need be for other weapons

With respeccing being so cheap I've done it a few times already up to lvl 17. Mind some of the points I have in the movement tree are a waste as you very rarely use them, especially as most the instances are indoors and the flight traits aren't of much use

As I've said earlier, I am specced for 2H Hammer, Staff and Dual Wield swords. So I can switch to either of them depending on the buffs they give out.

My hammer gives me a lot of defense/toughtness and my staff gives out a lot of dominance. So when I am in Tank mode I use my staff.

I created a new character last night. This one's going to be a healer and he's currently level 6. Loving it so far. I will upload a pic of him tonight. He looks pretty awesome as well.

By the time you have lvl 30 do you have enough skill points to get the odd movement ones you need and then to max the three tree's for staff, dual wield and 2 handed? Or have you just gone for a mixture of all three to get certain skills?

When you get to 30, you can either fully spec an entire weapons tree or mix and match. I've decided to mix and match. But when you completes in the game, you get extra skill points. If you look at your Feats menu, this will tell you how many points you are away from your next skill point. you need 100 points for one skill point. I currently have 29 skill points and all of that is split between my 3 weapons and a few other bits and pieces needed.

In beta, I had 37 skill spoints. So I was pretty much able to spec out two full weapons tree. So best way to get feats is to do your missions again when you reach level 30. Things like defeating Faust without using consumables or supercharge and surviving the entire mission without being knocked out are classed as feats. You get feats for pretty much everything in the game. So check the list and go about picking up these feats. Some are very easy to get, but tiresome and boring lol. Others are more fun but harder to get.

You will already know about the feats cos they pop up on your screen like a newsflash thing. and then it tells you how many points you earned from the feat. The minimum feat score is 10 and I think the highest is 50.

ck just watched your vid mate - nice!! a couple of questions please?

How do you get the bar above your skills? the one telling you what you doing e.g focused spin?
Can you move your talents around, as in move youir first talent to slot 4 instead of slot 2?
and last, what is the yellow circle around some of your talents in the slots?

Do the focused spin and the blue bar pops up. Same with the hammer for Mega Smash and other weapons have their own charge up hits. When you initiate them, it shows you at the bottom of the screen letting you know of this.

Yes you can move the skills/powers around. Go to your loadouts and do this there.

The yellow circle is the one with supercharges for the really heavy damaging ones. When you attack enemies, your supercharge charges up. When it's full it turns yellow.

Ill have my T1 chest piece tommorow evening if I only do the duos. however hoping to get some alerts in if any more groups pop up in the league this evening.

My main character is an ice based tank. The alerts/duos will get breezy once more and more of us do plenty of runs So OC shouldn't be too much of a challenge .

Finally decided to swap to a staff as I won the loot roll for a nice one with higher DPS than the hammer. The speed of the staff out weighs the hammer by a long shot. Sure this will change when I get a decent hammer in the future but for now I can see why CK goes with the staff most the time

finally got a new copy of windows so im installing now, will download this off steam, been wanting to try for ages but been running crappy linux.

How much will there be to download Will it save time buying a copy from a shop?

The only benefit from buying in a shop is that you have another 9GB or so download. If you get it from Steam, it'll download 12GB and then the 9GB update. But I think some people said they still had to download the full whack even with the disc. I got mine from Steam and had it pre-loaded well before launch. So I cannot say for sure.

Got my first purple item last night with the Wonder Woman's belt, was just wondering how rare purples/epics are in this game compared to others?

Hit level 21 last night and still trying to complete a lot of the lower level quests I had missed so looks like plenty of PvE quests available.

When you're levelling, purple items are pretty rare. But when you get them, use them if the points they give are great. After hit level 30 and you start doing duos/alerts/raids, you do get serious epic items. Like last night after we completed Outer Caverns, I got a new chestpiece that almost puts the Superman Tier 2 chest piece to shame. I don't need to get that piece now as it'll only add at most 15 points to what I currently have. So instead I am going to aim for the belt.

Items drop for your specific role/class. So if you're a tank and you see a tank item in the loot, always need it unless you don't need it lol. Same goes for healer and controller. When it comes to dps items, everyone needs for it lol.

CK – just wanted to ask you something about the WT please. I did my mission last night, where it takes you around the place showing you the different armour sets etc etc. (still think it’s very confusing and way to big).

The different armour sets, how does it work? do you have to become friendly/honoured etc with each faction/superhero i.e. Flash, Robin, Batman before you can buy from them or do you have to do certain raids to get that gear? Sorry I hope that makes sense?

You need to do duos/alerts/raids to get the marks to obtain those bits of armour. You can check through them (depending on your origin and role) and see which one will benefit you in terms of what buffs you will get from it. So for example, I got a new chestpiece last night in Outer Cavern raid. It's just as good as the Superman chest piece. But now I don't have to worry about getting the Superman chest piece. I can get another piece like the belt as this gives more points in defense, health and dominance. So if you're a healer, look at the healer version of the item, and so on for controller, tank and dps.

And that's the best thing about doing duos/alerts/raids, you can pick up serious items (which I keep saying lol). By the way, when I refer to alerts I mean the hard alerts. You have Smallville, Area 51, Ace Chemicals, Arkham Asylum, Watchtower Containment and Stryker's Island. Everyday each one is rotated as the daily hard alert. What this means is when you complete that daily, you not only get your marks of triumph (for tier 1 gear: Steel, Flash and Raven), you get 1 mark of distinction (for tier 2 gear: Superman, Batman and Dr Fate). Same with duos that are also dailies.

The marks work as follows:

For completing a hard daily alert you get 6 Marks of Triumph and 1 Mark of Distinction
For completing a normal hard alert you get 6 Marks of Triumph only.
For completing a daily duo you get 2 Marks of Triumph and 1 Mark of Distinction.
For completing a normal duo you get 2 Marks of Triumph only.
For completing a raid (Khandaq or Outer Caverns) you get 10 Marks of Distinction.
Also, if you need to obtain 1 Mark of Triumph, you can do this by completing your solo challenge missions (these are marked by small consoles in each of the wings in Watchtower. They are lit up on either ends of each wing and the Central Hub). Completing these give you 2 Marks of Alliance. When you have 10 of these, go to the vendor in Watchtower within that wing and sell them for 1 Mark of Triumph.

Word of warning, the duos and alerts are locked to just once a day. Meaning if you do one alert/duo and you go back in to help someone else complete those, you won't get the loot or marks again until the next day. Raids are locked to once a week. If you want to know how hard it is to complete a raid, let give you an example:

When our league went in last night to do Outer Caverns, it took us over 2hrs to complete. Khandaq took around 3hrs to complete. And this was with everyone having at least one tier 1 gear on them. It's an 8 man raid and as long as everyone knows what they are doing, it'll be a fine enough run. But yes, we became the first group to complete both Outer Caverns and Khandaq one after the other on Zer Hour. Even Jim Lee gave us his sincere congrats on Twitter last night

You have explained that well mate thank you. I guess the aim is to get Tier 1 gear(unless you get a good drop from a raid) as this is the best?

Where do you view all your badges/marks please?

To begin with that is the aim. But when you get really awesome drops in raid you won't need to farm for that many pieces. So you can do it for fun or to help others But get at least one Tier 1 gear before you decide to attempt a raid.

And to view the marks, just open up your inventory and click on Currency.

I purchased a hard copy and only had to download 2-3gb to be full up to date?

Ah, if that's the case then go for it. They must have shipped out the latest disc with most of the updates on it.

I know this is the PC board, but i got this on PS3 because my PC is playing up, and i need to download 12gb, but for some reason it seems like its going to be done in half hour-45 mins, its like psn doubled my network speed.

Shame i couldnt get the PC version, but is it true its good with a controller?

Well it's personal preference. Some use controllers and say it's great, others, like me, use keyboard and mouse and find it easier. But then I do play a lot of FPS games.
