Have to say, flying the A-10A is an absolute joy! Compared to the C it is night and day, only need to remember around 30 button combinationslol...
Another 20 hours or so of flying and I think I will start on learning the C version..
It's included in flaming cliffs, in fc3 it has the advanced flight mechanics that the single modules have, but it is no where near as complicated as the C version. Also the cockpit isn't clickable, and you can map most of the systems you use to your hotas if you have one..
Try it mike, you will also find the Huey a lot more fun to fly especially picking up cargo![]()
No one really knows about Edge, probably before xmas is the best bet! So yes, start your training...
Can anyone recommend a good start game for this? I used to enjoy flight sims back in the day ( although I don't understand them in depth I still have fun).
I used to play FS98, Microsoft Combat Flight Sim (really enjoyed that) and Apache v Havok. I also had Janes USAF which I really enjoyed although it was pretty hard.
I'm looking for one that has dynamic missions, maybe a mission editor (or user created content) and preferably a good tutorial. I'm guessing it's the same core game but with different planes? I'd also like the ones with the shiniest graphics or graph mods available. Thank you.
Alrighty, just started learning the A10C... Jeezo, I can now start and set my waypoints etc after about an hour of practice.. Not even started on SOI, SPI, weapons etc..
I can see this taking ages to learn, plus need to know whats best to have mapped onto my joystick and throttle..
Joystick is an MS Sidewinder FFB and throttle is an X52 throttle.
Using TrackIR 5 as well..
Cheers
