really enjoying this, first game ive played in a while that I can't put down

Decided: game is below average. Uninstalled. I was sold on that awesome trailer some months ago and this has not lived up to expectations.

Same here, main gripe with it was the auto aim thing which takes the fun away, killing floor has the best combat so far for me and even though it's not the same game the combat was superior.
The movement sucks, headache inducing! lol. Luckily I did not buy it.

I followed the tutorial and apart from FOV nothing else looks any different in game, how can I check I've done it right?

CONFIRMED!!!!!!! NO VAC BAN!

The Steam Users' Forums points to a tweet from Steam Support replying to mund0x (someone explain how the latter is "verified" but the former isn't) following up on the recently raised question of whether modding Dead Island will earn someone a VAC ban from Steam. The simple question is: "can modding dead island get me vac banned?" The simpler answer is: "No." Thanks Acleacius.

Shame. Thanks for coming/contributing.

I, on the contary am still really enjoying this title; currently on chapter 5 and looks like I may even complete it.
Which if I do, it would have held my attention better than the mass of titles I have sat here uncompleted.
Finding the combat system extremely satisfying, not sure if playing with an xbox controller is contributing to that joy; or just my sickness.

You cant edit the other stuff in game nor in the Tweaker, the Tweaker needs tweaking methinks

On the flip side, I'm loving Dead Island. It's MUCH better than I expected. Deus Ex isn't getting a look in. One thing - the analogue combat with a pad is considerably better than playing with a mouse. Infact it's the best thing about the game and i'm now a little worried Skyrim's melee combat is going to feel weak and archaic in comparison. I had a proper zen moment earlier - my mate knocked a zombie flying and I reacted without thinking, doing a low to upwards swipe taking both legs off before it hit the floor. Great stuff

Just about to try the tweaker, will be using it mainly for the vsync. Can't put the game down, I've logged nearly 7 hours on it and only just finished the first act! Going to give the analog combat system a try tomorrow too

I like it. Its not perfect but its a very good game.
Some people on here moan moan moan about games. Spoilt kids that don't remember the Amiga days.

I cant see any differnece at all, only when I change FOV and Bloom is OFF. Game looks better with bloom on, more atmospheric.
