*****Official Deus Ex 3: Human Revolution discussion thread*****

Well ive just completed it and can easilly say it is well worth £30. It took me 19hours on middle difficulty with mainly stealth and the odd killing.

So guys worth buying? Also is th steam store accurate in saying that it will unlock in 5 hours (12am)?

I bloody hope it unlock at midnight :p but from what i saw in the alpha yea its worth getting playing but its not the original but its definitely not the red headed stepchild the sequel was.

Also its a steamwork game so ties to steam how ever you buy it.

I just purchased on steam, roll on 12... Have a day off tomorrow as well, good times.

I'm wondering whether I should stay up and play some at 12. Also got the day off.. it's going to be a fine weekend with the F1, bank holiday and this! :D

So no one else noticed that you travel faster when moving diagonally?

I really hope they fix it because it's getting annoying walking everywhere like that.

Is it possible to preload from the retail disk? When trying to install from disc it wouldn't let me since it isn't released yet, but I'm able to preload over t'internets since I've entered the cd-key.

This latest patch addresses:
A frequent issue for AMD/ATI hardware users that can cause the game to crash on startup.
Improvements to loading speed. The speed increase depends on machine spec and settings, but loading time improvements of over 50% have been measured on some machines.
Some control fixes:
Diagonal movement is no longer faster as intended.
Adjustments have been made to mouse sensitivity in response to user feedback.
Mouse sensitivity for X and Y axis can still be configured separately, but is now consistent when set to default settings.
The range of settings for mouse sensitivity has been adjusted to provide for more accurate adjusting.
The default mouse sensitivity has been altered to be somewhat less sensitive.

New patch details according to Steam.

I had ignored absolutely everything to do with this game up until the review appeared on Arstechnica. Pretty much read them all and decided it MUST be purchased.
Wish I didn't have work tomorrow. :(
