*****Official Deus Ex 3: Human Revolution discussion thread*****

For anyone yet to pick this up, its £21.59 at Get Games Go - They advertise a lot on Eurogamer if you haven't heard of them.

I bought it from there last night and you get the key instantly.

Just incase anyone needs another vouch for the site, they provide the key nice and quickly!

How is the difficulty? For people playing a more combat-oriented approach, is the hardest difficulty "a bit of a challenge", or is it an absolute beast?

I always prefer it when a game has four difficulty levels - I always choose the 3rd of 4 for my first runthrough. With only 3 I never know which to go for... In some games the top difficulty can be a bit much to enjoy with an unfamiliar game, but in others "normal" difficulty can be a bit of a dolly.

non-lethal which is so far pretty tough on the hardest difficulty. At one point in the first mission where I'm up against 5 guys in one room, can't seem to find a way to sneak past them and trying to take them down results in a quick death :)

There's two rooms that sound like that on the first mission. On the first one I tranq'd the guy furthest away and got the rest as they investgated him and on the second I sneaked past from cover to cover on the left side. It took me watching their patterns for a while to know exactly when to move though.

Apologies if this has already been asked but I'm kinda scared to scan this thread for fear of spoilers, but has anyone come up with a solution for being unable to bind the ENTER/KEYPAD ENTER keys? This is my action key in every single FPS game I play. My muscle memory can't take change!

I think I did the same with the first room, it's quite getting each person as they come to check why their comrades have fallen asleep :D

I'll give your idea a go with the room I'm stuck in, failing that I'll try the rambo approach!

EDIT: Just remembered I have a concussion grenade :)

I'm confusing myself now because I'm thinking of the last room in that mission. I forgot about the warehouse bit. Is that the first or second room? Either way on each room the left side was the side to go for. Apart from the room where we tranq'd everyone, then it doesn't matter.

I'd be very interested to know this before starting. I usually suffer from the same problem and the 3rd of 4 is usually a nice middle ground.

Going to start my mine after work today i sense ill be up till early hours playing it judging by what is being said here! :D

What diff you playing it on Tummy

It's good! It's really good, but the mouse / movement feels laggy which could be due to the port. That's my only "meh" issue if you will with it at the minute.

It looks gorgeous too! The voice acting is a little bit well flat too :p

Anyway! I'm playing on the first difficulty due to me being ****ing awful at the first Deus Ex :p that and this has a lot of stealth in it, and I'm about as subtle as a sledge hammer.

really enjoying this. Slight black dots on skin but nothing too major.

One thing I cant work out though, is that i have spoken to someone in detroit and they gave me a code for something (not saying what lol) how can i see what codes people have told me or do i have to remember them. I know the ones you find in emails are recorded but the verbal ones, i dont seem to see any where its recorded in the data logs etc.

:)

Press "[" and it shows you a log, not that you need to remember, you'll be given the password on screen at the appropriate point.
Also accessible through the tab menu.
