Official DFI NF4Ultra-D/SLi owners thread.

Brum,

I got the winflash from the DFI site, and also the Beta bios too - i hosted it (winflash) purely as I could'nt find it again. Do you think they pulled it ?

Yes up with Vdimm, so far it seems this board likes to supply a little more then what other boards do for the same memory, 0.1-0.3v more.

Thanks for the info regarding the PCIe performance drop simon, i have checked it and it is about 150-200 points down in 3Dmark2001se , so your right.

I've solved my problems at last....don't know if the information would be useful for others.

My Corsair 2x 512MB XMS4400CT memory modules now work. Had to drive the vdimm upto 3V.

As for the network adapters, I'm just using the Marvel one and not the NVidia one. Network access is looking okay now.

It looks like one needs to assign a MAC address to the adapter. I've not read the online docs so I could be missing something.

Ran some benchmarks with SLI-DR, 3500+ Winnie, 1GB XMS4400, WD Raptor and Sapphire X850XT. All stock speeds and drivers from the disks:

3dMark01SE: 23342
3dMark03: 12123
3dMark95: 5732
1M SuperPi: 42sec

Any good? Looking to up the speeds of the FSB to 300, drop the multiplier a little (when I've upgraded the cpu cooler), and increase the speeds of the sapphire card.

Cheers

Looking ok tome if everything is stock.
Glad to see you worked the issues out.

Any reason not to use the orange memory slots over the yellow slots?

Memory clocks better in the orange slots on my board.

9: Orange memory slots(2&4) are reported to offer better stablity.

Seems orange is better for most ppl.

Seems to depend upon the version of memtest you run, so many ppl have various versions its better to just give a blanket statement then try to pick up.

If your memory is failing though, generaly it will be in Test 5, although at the same address and size is thought to be not memory, but could be mem controller/chipset/software.

I personaly use test 5 looped as its a very quick way to check.

Sem,

the memory frequency will change depending upon the Mulitplier used.
Although the DFI has the options of 100,120,133,140,150,166,183& 200 in bios, they will run effectively at this speed with a whole multiplier and FSB (HTT) for CPU set at 200mhz. Going over 200 obviously changes the settings as it works off whole dividers, so might not give eaxactly what you would expect.

Added, I was waiting for ppl to make sure it did'nt kill boards before posting. Always best to leave new Beta' a day or so .

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BIOS 209 has memtest intergrated into it, its turned on by default so will not boot windows unti lyou dissable it in BIOS options, this is just below the Voltage options for memory and CPU !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im beggining to think its the SPD thats stopping the Cas2.5 and cas3 on the NF4 with the corsair.

But I will be pleased to see what you manage with the LE.
