Like murray said the only thing that has changed with alliance is the meta, if you actually watched carefully at the international you would notice that the huge reason why alliance won was because of picks like furion and LD, they would've lost the last game so hard if they didn't have the ability to split push.

well believe it or not, Loda has been drafting before a lot of people here have even been playing dota. He was drafting for SK gaming when they were one of the best teams in the world back in 07, also regardless of all the disrespect he gets, he's still an amazing player, a player who is just "taken along for the ride" doesn't win the international, you're only as strong as your weakest member in a team.

No offense mate, but people didn't have to watch that carefully to realise that Alliance's split push carried them though most of their games. It's also not exactly a secret that Loda was big in DOTA1, it's pretty much the first thing anyone ever says about him. It's been a good few years since then though.

Obviously I'm not saying he's a bad player - he's better at DOTA than I ever have any ambition of being, but you really don't hear about people raving about Loda's Lifestealer as often as people praise Akke's Chen or EGM's Naga. Obviously he's a top level pro player, but I'd wager you could replaced him with any of about 10 other carry players in the pro dota scene and Alliance would have done as well or better.

Isn't Loda also drafting for Alliance now?

Edit: Just read back. Although it didn't work out, Alliance were definitely trying some new things this tourny, which is refreshing to see. I enjoy watching Dota, but sometimes the drafts can get a little stale. I know this isn't all on Loda because he was mostly calling shots before, but it's just a positive change, and I'd like to see more of it.

Can you name your top10 carry players and of them, who is better than Loda?

You don't understand that Alliance play so well because of how well they all work together. They kicked EE because they prefer an all Swedish team and they got along way better with Loda.

Half of being a good team is getting along with eachother.

Seems to be a staple of OcUK games... we always say "We'll shut down that hero!" and never actually do it, haha.

Either way, I dunno if it would've made much of a difference... they had a Weaver, Mirana and Death Prophet ready to step in to pick up any farm the Naix left behind. Not that it looks like they needed it.

It makes a difference shutting down LS jungle because its so easy to do. The problem is the team letting an Invoker who is taking over die when he should live. They have an incredibly greedy team that should have been easily punished.

I don't think any role can be described as the easiest, they all have different challenges.

That being said, the extra mechanics and ability to make big plays associated with the supports mean they can gain more of a reputation for skill compared to carries, who are judged more on their decision making. The reason you don't hear anyone raving about Loda's lifestealer is because there's nothing particularly exceptional in a spectator sense that can be done on a lifestealer, he's just an extremely solid player.

And it is a staple of the OCUK games I have played because they mostly have been with Anuraj,Shami,Dhruvie and a few with you and no one seems to learn from their mistakes.

Why play the blame game? Nobody honestly cares if people don't learn from their mistakes--and if you do, then why are you consistently playing with those 3 people... but hell if we're going to point out each others mistakes we may as well get the tape measure out and pull our pants down at the same time, haha.

I'm not playing the blame game. I care that they don't learn from their mistakes because they are trying to improve and by playing games with them I am contributing to that effort. We can get tape measures out if you like, no need to be such a bitch though.

Standard kneejerk reaction, can't read something without getting your hand bag out... figures really. Keep playing the super low skill games mate, gotta get the wins from somewhere.

Why are you bringing out the personal insults? I play a wide variety of games, all of which average a higher rating than yours if you want to be bitchy.
