Trying to decode this, you came up against a Tiny IO combo but won in the end?

Yeah, Tiny snowballed out of control, we lost so much but managed to get our **** together and make teamfights work in our favour. Was really chuffed with the synergy we finally found.



Did anyone watch the Empire vs Speed games? Absolute bloodbaths, play after play after play, such fun matches to watch.

I love ability draft such a fun mode.

Noticed a few completely OP builds recently, I'm sure there are more out there than I have seen but a few:

Fiery soul + Warpath + Nasal goo/Quill spray + Anything (Just amazing DPS movement speed an damage)

Arcane orb + Essence Aura + Aftershock + Anything (Orb procs the aftershock every time, best on a mele hero obviously)

Rikki invis + any nukes castable spells, this is an obvious one.

Enchant totem + Walrus punch + Anything really

Not a complete build but overpower on any ranged hero is really strong as they can easily keep getting the hits in.

Anyone else got any good builds?
 
After playing HoN for a week it's sad that they ruined a game with such amazing potential. Dota balance is just leaps and bounds better.
 
Had a great game on RAD last night, such a fun mode to fall back on when wanting a less serious game.

Got dazzle with first choice on ability so went:

Tidebringer > NS Void > nethertoxin > undyings ultimate

Completely destroyed them, especially once I got Daedalus.
 
Did you guys notice that when queuing for games if its a long wait i.e. more than 4 minutes, that if you go to the play tab and click a couple of times it speeds up the process and you'll be given a "game ready" quicker? Or is it just me
 
Wonder if someone could help me. I've just changed over to an AMD card and it is giving me endless problems in Dota, with Vsync on in game it makes my screen stutter and move slow if I turn it off everything is fine apart from loads of screen tearing.

Never got this on my Nvidia, any ideas? :(
 
Well according to valve we exploited because as far as I know Ursa fury swipes and WK aura are now disabled.

So basically valve are disabling hero abilities without warning or making the abilities simply not work.

If you choose Wraith King only 1 of his abilities actually works within the mode now lol, pathetic!
 
It took us 4 or 5 practice runs to come up with our lineup and builds then we did the real deal. All in just short of three hours or so.
Im hardly a dota expert why didn't valve forsee people using ursa, I dont consider our run an exploit, that visage bug sounds like one though.
 
Your run was an exploit, ursa/wk is just as bad as the visage one IMO.

Same with the fireworks one.

I played a few games last night and opened around 5 of the 3k chests, got the Redhoof courier and some other items. Pity the gamemodes are always just huge grinds after the first go.
 
Abilities working as intended is exploiting? I can see going out of the map boundaries with visage as exploiting and the fireworks having no cool down at the time was retarded.

Completely disabling hero abilities without making it clear is terrible. They have done a half arsed job, at least in Wraith night they disabled some heroes and re-worked other hero abilities on this mode half of the hero abilities are either useless or disabled.

Good job Valve.

Also releasing the game mode mid week for 24 hours when the majority of players are working, great stuff.

The abilities clearly weren't working as intended if they disabled them from it were they? I'm sure you don't disable things that are working as intended...

Also it isn't only out for 24 hours, they have stages where at the end of the stage the top 10% and 1% damage dealers get couriers and stuff, its done on such a short time because people find bugs and exploits so they want to fix it for the next cycle, they did the exact same with Diretide.

I'm perfectly okay with them half assing a boring custom game mode anyway, I'd rather they worked on the actual game rather than something that we are going to be seeing a lot of when people start making custom maps.
