*** Official Dota 2 Thread ***

Anyone up for playing the dota 2 lounge TI4 game.

You start your first bet with $1 worth of items on 1 game. You then see how much you can make/lose in the international.

If you lose your first bet your out.
 
Only bad point about our team stacks is that it has made random pubs even worse.

First pick random alchemist who he then admits he can't play, well that went well he was 5/17 and didn't even get Midas! Second pick then took Doom, another jungled who went 7/12 iirc and could not use his ult. A QoP ransomed next and this bloke too said he couldn't play the class and fed to 7/15 giving Puck unreal farm and gold. We had a very good Jugg and I did my best as support Venom but it was so soul destroying.

So yeah, I love our team stack but you have destroyed solo play for me :p
 
I am surprised with the ease with which I can lose 500+ rating in this game. Unfortunately getting it back is not so easily accomplished. Went from 4300+ to 3700+ and now sitting back at just over 4k. Was having a nice run today winning most games and then BAM Riki, Clinkz, Sniper, Nyx Assassin..... Am I supposed to support this fail train? Well at least it was over quickly, easiest -25 of my life

Try hard mode = WK, Tide hunter, Skywrath

+1 to that I would lose so much rating due to random and fail pickers so quickly that it would take blood sweat and tears to get it back. I would have to tryhard mid and play my ass off and I dont even like playing mid that much so I decided to get my rating high enough and then switch to unranked. I've been enjoying the game so much more since then. the way it works is that you always get matched with players around your mmr but you never lose or gain any!
 
Watched the Twitch stream of DK vs EG game 2 and both EG vs Newbee games.

I'd really like to get into the game, I just don't know how to start.
I tried it once and did one of the in game tutorials but it didn't hook me.

Ill play with you if you want, teach you basics/the ropes

and yeah they get stressed just ignore em!

Yes this will happen. You will have to be thick skinned or happy to give it back as people are generally pretty ****** in this game. For every helpful person another 9 will just abuse you.

i landed a failboat with kunkka, and got a string of abuse :/
 
You can be the best player on the team, make incredible plays and people will still find a way to abuse you, just ignore it or have fun with it and make them more angry :D
