I mean sure, I get that... but you watch SingSing and it's like... this is a guy who clearly doesn't take himself too seriously, has a laugh and a joke when he's 5 stacking and goes full on retarded, ala Twitch chat, from time-to-time. You don't really get that impression from Rtz, you just see some childish prat who can't get over himself...

I dunno if he means to be like that, but to me it's a bit of a shame that one of the better players Dota has to offer comes with this "marmite-like situation" where I'm not sure whether to hate him for the crap he says and does, or like him because he plays some solid Dota with EG. It seems the rest of the community somewhat agree's as he's so very divisive on whether he's "cool to like"... like I say, you don't seem to find that with Sing.

But it's like we both said, you get money from being (in)famous and it works... so who am I to argue? kek

Whether you like him or not RTZ clearly doesn't give a flying. And that's why a lot of people like him

I don't even think it's that, it's just he knows his fan base...and the majority of it are 15 year old adolescents who appreciate people who run their mouths. I doubt people are watching him and thinking "This here is a guy who has a lack of respect for people in general and speaks his mind, regardless of how stupid/arrogant it sounds. I can get on board with that!"

I mean, I guess we were all a little like that at 15... but still... a little maturity never hurt, I guess.

DK getting beaten pretty soundly by Vici, no aegis for Burning :(

They've just been so erratic, game 1 was possibly the most questionable draft of the main tournament. Like they hadn't seen Vici play at all this tournament.

Always easy to criticize a draft when a team loses though.

If they'd have won everyone would have been praising the BM/Tinker combo and Burning's legendary AM.

I think one of those picks would have been tough, picking both against the team who wins the fastest in the tournament? How were they ever going to get the farm they needed?? Just....odd drafting.

Hey mate!

I suggest we get the gang together again tonight! Start around 930 for a game or two?

I'm only going to play team games of 4 or 5 stack from now on, last week of solo games have just been a horrific joke. Last night was the final straw, first game we lost a few fights and we were 17/7 down when our tinker calls GG and wouldn't leave base. We go on to get stomped when we could have made a game of it and possibly stole a win. We were winning most team fights with tide/mag and OM but didn't have the nuke to quite finish them off.

Second game a SF and Jak lane combo fed an axe/Venge combo 12 kills in 11 minutes. Got caught the same way every time by moving too far and axe flanking them and locking them down.

First time I have ragequit I just logged and have no intent of going back on solo play again. Worked out well for valve though as I then went and bought a load of steam games to play instead :p

Always up for stacks though as I enjoy the banter/teamwork! :)
 
I had a very similar experience over the weekend as well. Some players just seem to think their hero's are like the terminator and are virtually unbeatable. Then they die, die and then die again, and every single time go straight back and do exactly what they were doing last time when they died, and then oh wait what's this, yep they die again. GRRRRRRRR
 
In solo games in this terrible MMR bracket you keep getting people who think they're at the international. They've seen people do things so they start copying them....

The last game i played we had a shadow shaman who started on dire and proceeded to wander into the radiant jungle on his own, to start placing wards like he'd seen them do on the international (blocking creep spawns) but with no one else or any invisibility he just got flattened by the two guys coming the other way. We had a mirana that couldn't hit a single arrow. The same shadow shaman ulted an illusion .... it wouldn't have taken an ult to kill it from the health it was on >_< the mirana constantly used invis every time it cooled down, no matter what the occasion, leaving it never available for the times it would actually have been useful.

It was painful. Then we had an earth shaker that just liked to solo push everything until he got jumped on, which led to a fed PA, the story tells itself from that point :(

I'd play tonight in a stack but i think i'll be hooked on watching the final :D
 
Oh yeah forgot it was the final tonight :p

Make it 9 tomorrow night for the stack. Usual suspects and if anyone else wants to tag along feel free as if we make 10 we can do an in house.
