That's me staying away from it until 7.01 or sticking to captains mode. Monkey King is just far to OP it's ridiculous. I know they've made slips before with certain heroes being OP before a nerf but jeebus, he's just too easy.

I've played quite a few games today and he either wins the game solo or the player abandons because they can't play him. Echo Sabre seems to be the best item for him early on because of the stacking of hits.

Other than that the changes seem to be quite good overall, feels like valve are pushing for games to be done within 30 mins though with the gold runes and XP bonuses on some of the tech trees.

Not sure he is as OP as you say. There are a lot of hero's that seem OP if played well.

Maybe it's just the players and I that I was with in the Test client.

I remember Arc Warden being OP on release too.

I have found that Timbersaw is quite a decent counter with the whirling death. Once you know Monkey King is nearby you can generally stun him by cutting a load of trees down at once. I could potentially see him not being nerfed but towers providing aerial sight to at least offer a little defensive laning protection against him

I was probably just annoyed at how significant he was in the games I played in the Test client.

I have played a few games with him, one I lost as they had a very good timber and generally speaking they were the better team. Another I won with 22 kills and 11 deaths, but apart from a support that could not keep getting hooked by pudge, my team was decent. That game could have went either way, luckily we got a gem a few times and countered well riki :)

Getting used to the map slowly. Love the new levelling.

The tech tree is good but I've not seen many hit lvl 25 yet.

Give it a few games, it will feel normal in no time. It really is a great update. Makes me want to play again after not playing for a few years.

Edit: Dota 2 has come a long way since I started playing it 5 years ago. This update is probably my favourite :)

Woo the new hud supports 21:9 Ultrawide now! I was so sick of the hud becoming oversized when I tried to use my native resolution.

3440 - 1440.

How does that work without giving you an advantage? Or does it stretch image making it look weird?

If you could show us a few screen shots that would be cool :)

Haha very true.

I just played a great game with Legion Commander. Her lvl 25 +40 damage buff is bonkers. I had +290 duel damage. With an Aghs, a Daedalus and AC. Occasionally duelling their Centaur Warunner to screw up their initiation and have their whole team try and damage me. Otherwise standard duels with people were 3-4 hit affairs :)

Noticed a bug with new patch though. Twice now Ive been locked looking at a random part of the map and I cant click on the minimap to navigate.
