Hey man, i'm pretty new player too (132 hours played, but bit of that was watching Ti3) and would be cool if I can get some games with you guys if your on this weekend?

I'm in the OcUK guild but get a bit put off playing when everyone is like 500+ wins etc haha.
 
Just encountered my first bit of a player rage in pub match. We were winning on towers but the other team was down one player and still beating us in team matches. A guy was raging and swearing at us for being useless. Lots of people ended up quitting.

It was a bit crazy they had a sniper getting major kills I couldnt beat them with my Nightstalker right up close.

What I don't get is when the game tells me that someones abandoned the match but they are still playing. Does that hurt experience or anything?

Also in one of my pub games someone quit and someone on my team was feeding and controlling the abandoned hereo which was of course dying as well. I quit when they kept doing this and I have just gone on watched the replay and they then started to control me. I'm sure I left with about 9 deaths and at the end of the match I had 15. I don't think their are global stats but it bugged me a little bit.

Just one of those things, cant really use win/losses or stats to see how good/bad you are at the game its entirely down to who you get put with in pubs which can get very frustrating at times

It's anti-afk measure. If a hero does not recieve experience for a certain time ( I think its' 5min) the game counts it as abandon, so its' safe to leave for everybody else while the afk guy gets penalty pool.
 
That was fun! I think my picks were way better than Shami just need to disband my team tbh.

I think captains mode is way better and the games seem to be getting better every night :)

Best way to learn about dota 2 is with playing with people better than you.I have not yet played with the guys in ocuk dota 2 guild but I think they are friendly :D
 
Yeah abandoning top early was a silly idea and he seemed to have good knowledge of where we were on the map when we went roaming for him.
