Yeah abandoning top early was a silly idea and he seemed to have good knowledge of where we were on the map when we went roaming for him.

So I have just found out that some heroes have been renamed in the past. For the love of god OcUK crew, please do not call them by their old names. "Quick tp me to furion". "omg wisp I said quick".

Ok...I can guess I am Wisp as I am a ball... but now I'm looking down the player list trying to find furion. Ugh.

I know now but god damn. I get that it might be habit but if they got renamed they did for a reason so learn the new names instead of me having to learn old ones haha.

The problem is furion/naix are way easier to say than natures prophet/lifestealer.

Or Lothar's is a lot easier to say than Shadowblade :p

I tell you what they do have in Kenya..

Wouldn't mind getting a team started to enter some online tournies if anyone is interested, Me and Murray down for it so far

Prefer to have more experienced players and a willingness to take some constructive criticism

Murray weaver is best weaver.

Quoted for truth

Sorry if I complain when people make mistakes although usually I'm just trying to point it out so it doesn't happen again, as inhouses are also a good way for people to improve, as its quite evident a few have quite a bit.

Don't think I've called anyone an idiot though, except Murray or Anuraj :p

Just got a message from another guy RE the in-house games, I hope he doesn't mind me posting it, but I've cut out part so it's not obvious who it is:

I'm sure some people won't care about not playing with the noobs, and would be thankful if we didn't bugger up the in-house games by making stupid mistakes. But if the attitude from certain people doesn't stop, then you'll be lucky to get an in-house going because you'd have scared the noob players off.

I do tend to ask for wards a lot especially as mid in a polite way the first number of times, if people need advice on what to get just ask or what to do.

Maybe designate two team captains to basically take up the role of advising others while playing? Most times I find my team in good spirits with good communication, greenja I think it is is a good example of what less experienced people will do, just asks immediately if not sure

RE. Setting up a team, have 8 or so interested so far it seems, perhaps in the coming days if more are interested we could have a go at two, would need someone to organize stuff for the other one which will likely be the less experienced people.

Do people want the in houses to be more like, educational? As I said above, can designate captains to lead the teams and just help people whilst playing support

None of this would've happened had you not banned rubick :(

Myshra has it spot on though that if two of the more experienced players are playing they kind of need to do the same role or it can be a stomp

Don't be intimidated into thinking 'I'm not good enough for these guys', Anuraj plays and has no problem at all joining and I'm sure he spends 50% of his time trying to get his elbows to touch.

If you think people are being too negative and just putting down the team just name and shame and let whoever it is sort it out, there is only one person I've had consistent complaints off pretty much every time he plays/doesn't win, so I don't think its that bad unless people aren't speaking up.

I have plenty of heroes I'm crap at, captains mode just gives me a chance to play stuff I like :p I'll just stick to supports in CM unless got someone else big going against me on other side

I am more unhappy that people simply don't read their abilities or are sheep to a guide, it's like fighting with one arm behind your back.

Not reading skills is a big thing, happened a few times with Anuraj/Tune and some others before, takes 1 minute to read them and get an idea what they should do as most heroes are straight forward.

EDIT: IT WAS ACTUALLY MURRAY, I RAGED

Pfft that's probably the biggest benefit :D

Forgot to ask but have you ran through the audio wizard on mumble to try get your mic not to pickup keyboard sounds? Theres a fair few options more in the wizard to try get your mic to only pick up the sound of your voice.

You might need to switch it to raw amplitude from input, if i remember correctly the default is signal to noise ratio and that usually is the one that causes keyboard sounds to be picked up if i remember right.

I'll give it another fiddle but Teamspeak seemed to do it relatively easily, even Raidcall did.

+TS has duke nukem voice pack and looks nicer :p

**** that, random is used for learning, you go to play them at some stage, if you want 'synergy' go play in a 5 stack. Random if you want, its not there to be not used.

Doing it as a last pick when you have 3 carries already is a bit dim though, just do it early

Then go captains mode if you want some structured. The hints in the name mate, All Pick, pick what you want.

I'm not going to benefit very much by playing bots when I'm in the very high bracket, I'll benefit from playing people in proper situations and if I want to learn something specific I ain't getting it necessarily in anything but All Pick.
