Only thing with the ocuk channel is that no one ever wants to play (atlesst not with us :p) I think in about 6 weeks since we've started regularly grouping and asking in ocuk for people we have only had 2 people join us. Nice chaps but it's a bit pointless not having something full of people who want to group up.

the more people the higher the chances very rarely someone sits at the main menu for more than a couple of minutes for someone to join the party they must have just launched dota 2 or just finished a game. add to that people that just want to solo at that time or they're a part of a stack already and chances get very very slim.
 
Making a wee attempt to raise my solo MMR, just had a game with two Romanians on my team that just like Russians, constantly want to fight like it's team deathmatch and trolling/abusive on comms. Just muted them and played my own game and thankfully got the win. Will see how many of these kind if games I can take before giving up.
 
Just played my first match against people (rather than bots) in the Training vs. humans option.

Our team won, thanks mainly to our Bounty Hunter player. I started off really well but got a bit average near the end.
Their best player was Razor and although starting slowly their Juggernaut came good at the end.
I finished with 10/11/17 (which is a bit disappointing considering the start I made) with Death Prophet.
 
When I play Shadow Shaman, I don't take shackles or hex, because they are useless for me. Also I play Drow with no frost arrows and I buy her 4 slippers of agility at start, then 4 wraith bands with no regen. I often buy that for most agility heroes. Not always though. Also I never buy blink for shaker. Also I often go mid with Gyro or Shaman and don't let Pudge or Viper mid. This is how I roll.

Viper is a strong hero but Sniper is garbage. Fun but garbage, any decent team will shut him down he's so easily gankable and brings so little to the team.

Something needs to be done with so many Russians in every match, its not even funny anymore. I can handle playing against them thats fine but when they are on my team, you just know you're about to waste half an hour or more of your life due to miscommunication. Theres not normally a lot of communications between random public players but when there is a language barrier it makes things a whole lot worse, you're already fighting a losing battle.

There needs to be a filter for what your party/teammates selected, so I can select English only and select that I want my party/teammates to only have selected English only... then there needs to be a button that allows me to report those who don't speak English and if they get enough reports they get region locked (by account, not IP) to what ever language they are reported speaking instead of the language they have falsely set their filters to. I'd even offer to moderate this!

To add onto this, if they are punished it auto changes their filters so they have to change them back if they want to come and grief other games, second offence is a longer time region locked and eventually perma-region locked.

Makes ME feel ignorant playing with these people when I've only selected English because thats all I can speak.. although I can speak a few Russian phrases now. Yet its not my fault these players select English and spam Russian in text and voice comms.

So many times I've said "English only please" for a reply to come back "I speak Russian to my friend, I will speak English when I need to <insert insult here>" for them to never speak English again.

I had another chat ban for a week after I insert random insult way too often and in capital letters or in a loud scream. So I couldn't be bothered any more to read if people write anything negative in game. I had all chat switched off. It made no bad impact on the games I played, it even improved them, since people who I would usually heavily insult were not insulted and didn't start doing **** like being afk, abusing abilities, killing couriers and so on.

It doesn't make much difference in game what language everyone speaks, you can ping important objectives on mini map.

I can teach you some more Russian phrases, so you are better equipped to deal with Russians: ebalo zakroj, dno ebanoe, sosi suka. Just repeat these phrases and feel at home with the rus.
 
I've played 1293 games, screaming Russians and screaming idiots always make the game worse by demoralising the rest of the team.

I shouldn't have to turn the chat off, I should be able to just play games with people that speak the only language I speak. Theres a reason I don't join Russian servers in Arma or Battlefield, the same as I don't join German or French (I am trying to learn German though!) and thats because I don't speak the language, my German is far from being able to just learn it on a server lol.
