Official E3 2016 thread.

Can't say I'm fussed about VR either. Even if I was it'd be out of the question for me. I suffer chronic migraine syndrome and the amount of people that have told me they experienced dizziness and headaches after using or trying VR doesn't sit well with me at all.

I suffer from migraines, no issues with VR.

Headaches, dizziness and nausea are usually down to poor hardware or games that break the "rules" of VR where you are moving in-game but you aren't physically in the real world.

Something standing or roomscale with tracked controllers I imagine would be fine.

Ah that's encouraging. Perhaps I'll give it a go and see how I like it. Makes sense to at least try before I make my mind up. Never thought it would be something I'd go for but you never know.

Cheers for that, good to know I don't have to VR that to the list of things I have to avoid.

Every gamer (no, everbody) owes it to themselves to try a good VR solution at least once.

It's something you need to try in person rather than rely on other people's opinions. If you still don't like it then fair enough, but in general people are blown away by being "in" a world.

This is all with Gen 1 hardware too which has its faults, so the future is very promising.

I think sometimes you just know something isn't for you.

I guess for me, 95% of my gaming time I'm doing something else such as watching YT/Netflix on the laptop or listening to music so in that sense alone VR isn't really feasible for me. I can't even remember the last time I played a game while not multi-tasking something else (other than when I'm chatting in a party).

That being said, I think it's really cool for gaming and gamer's that this is coming and I really hope it's successful and that people really like it.

I can't deny I'm at least curious to try and see what the hype is about and of course to truly know for sure. Hey, maybe i'll be blown away and change my entire outlook - I'm at least willing to find out.

On another note, it's been a while since I had an actual list of games that interest me. But Horizon, Nier 2, Nioh, Star Ocean, Last Guardian, FFXV (maybe.......) BF1 and maybe a couple of the Indie games are things I'm interested in picking up. Probably even some others too.
Some pretty interesting titles coming up.

While we are going on a tangent for this thread I think its a useful one!

Think of VR as something that compliments rather than replaces what you consider as gaming. I think games created for VR need to have some considerations that arent applicable to non-VR applications so you wont automatically see games just have a ubiquitous VR mode (locomotion within FPS games is the well-worn example).

VR is still in its infantile stage and I wouldnt worry what impact it has on traditional gaming but I would recommend trying it before ignoring it...

ps3ud0

I just tried the demo for the new Resident Evil game. Its looking pretty good. I like that its going back to its horror roots. I just really hope its zombies in this one and not parasite controlled people.

And I bet it would be amazing to play it in VR.
