Official E3 2016 thread.

Some good stuff from Sony. I've never liked GOW but the new concept interested me, very Tomb Raider survivor-y look. Days Gone looked....underwhelming. The bit at the end was kind of crap. Horizon is very interesting, I need to know more about the world though, I don't understand all the technology but everyone is living in huts. Detroit indeed looked fantastic. Don't really care for Last Guardian although at least after 20 years or whatever they're finally releasing it!

Surprised by no Indie stuff though, a lot of concept trailers of far off stuff it seemed.

Straight from the Wiki page, to help give an idea of why Horizon is that way.

Horizon Zero Dawn is an action role-playing game in which players take control of Aloy, a hunter and archer, as she progresses through a post-apocalyptic land ruled by mechanized creatures, such as robotic dinosaurs. The game is set 1,000 years in a future in which humanity has long abandoned Earth due to the world being dominated by robotic creatures.

The creatures' component, such as electricity and the metal they are composed of, are vital to Aloy's survival, and she can loot creatures' corpses to find useful resources.

So although there is tech and so forth, it's technically a tribal, caveman-esque era but in the future rather than the past. So the remains of the world we know as now, but the living in the wild in little towns made up by the descendants of surviving people using tech that was both left over and from the mechanized robots that now roam the world. No one knows where they originated from or how they arrived but throughout the story you will uncover why and how they came to be.

Great conference from Sony, would have loved to have a seen a Crash Bandicoot Racing remaster with the rest of them though.

For a split second, when Andrew House introduced Kojima-san, I thought it was going to be GabeN with Half Life 3. Just for a split second. Hopes dashed.

Is the spiderman game coming to xbox? I'd like to buy it when it's cheap (if it's good!). Sunset overdrive was pretty good.

I wonder what Sucker Punch are up to. I heard that they were doing the Spiderman game, not Insomniac and a remaster of Infamous 1 + 2.

Any other huge Crash Bandicoot fans not hyped about the remakes? I just don't see what it adds to the games. The first three games have aged better than most as it is and I just don't trust them not to mess up the look, feel and control that was so good in the first place.

I was really excited when that first came up because I thought it was by the Infamous team. Wasn't really a fan of Sunset Overdrive :(

It's quite amazing that as soon as Sony negotiate away the merchandise rights to Spiderman they bother to make a Spiderman game with one of their second parties.

I can imagine a lot of the SO humour might end up featuring - not sure of that's a good/bad thing. I wasn't a massive fan of the Spiderman personality in Civil War

Hopefully it means a good game - still rare when it comes to superheroes especially Marvel...

ps3ud0

Good conference - no crap just games

No interest at all in Detroit...disliked all their previous games.

Horizon looked great - if it was real.
RE7 isn't my thing but very cool to see it go back to it's roots as the franchise was huge for gaming and one of gamings biggest crash and burns.

Funny to see PT get scrapped, then RE7 seems to have taken up that mantel, with Kojima/Reedus bringing out something new.
Looked very interesting...very Kojima and something I want to se more of in the coming years. Wondering whether it will end up what he originally had in store for Silent Hills or whether it's not horror themed at all

God of War isn't a franchise i'm that into but I enjoyed he 1st 3.
New one looks intriguing for sure...something I may try.

VR though just isn't something I'm interested in and that will never change. Not for me BUT for those who do want it then they look to have a cool line-up in the works.

I'll pick up Last Guardian though. Pleased it's finally here

Anyone else noticed this new trend of main characters commenting on. bloody. everything? Can you imagine playing Dark Souls and everytime you block/roll through/parry an attack your character shouts something corny like 'WOO! THAT WAS CLOSE!'.

Dear god please make it stop.
