*** Official Elder Scrolls MMO Thread ***

I was going to ask what the Dungeons are like. I was disappointed there wasn't any group content on the starter island.

I think the starter island is literally to get you going.

As of the new patch, you can skip them now and go straight to the main land.

There you have Elite mob areas with no quests for loot and fun, you have public event group quests and that's all I've experienced outside dungeons for group content.

Just found out that the game is generating a variety of guilds.

For example one is a Khajiit only trading caravan type guild, where the players move from city to city selling there stuff.

Another is the Merchantile Guild, which is a guild purely for crafting and generating profit.

Another guild without a name yet is based around only mages who summon Daedra.

Quite like the diversity.

I put this on the projector last night, started a new character and didn't put it down for about 6 hours - not many games have done that lately.

Some of the battles, the large (random?) sky anchor battle was a surprise and fun, but I was left with a few broken quests which stopped me progressing in level to the PVP parts.

I'm tempted to buy this now but I'm not a KB/M player. If they put in a good xbox controller support it's going to may be tip it.

I know that feeling. On Saturday i think i sunk 14 hours into the game, such a great game.

The Sky Anchors are like Rifts rifts, expect a little smaller in scale, they are aimed for groups and raids.

You also have Sky Rifts (I think they are called), which are aimed at smaller amounts of players.

Both of them are dynamic and i think the rifts (not the anchors) can spawn randomly anywhere. But don't quote me on this.

I didn't think that this game would have an effect on me when the beta ended, but it's constantly on my mind to the point of considering to purchase the game.

The world was graphically great and most of all, relaxing which is what i look for in an MMO, so i have like a month to decide.

There is going to be another beta weekend in roughly 1-2 weeks, this weekend one is confirmed to contain the 0.18 patch.

So at least you can have another pop at it with all the fixes.

Refined my Warlock/Blood mage build a bit.

Basically the main nuke is Funnel Health and Staff use.

Then you have 1 knock back and 1 slow. You also have have a damage shield which morphed reduces magic damage by 50%.

It has an Execute at range that does 300% extra damage on targets with low health and that will give you magicka regen on top of the passives.

Its quite PvP orientated as there is no sustained damage, more burst.

You have a lot of healing passives and on spell casts.

I think this should be pretty powerful in PvP/Single target levelling.

2.no symbols on the map to show you where things are and generally a very baron looking map with very little information.

Sorry to say but that is the point. Your meant to go and find the content, not being told where to go or how to play.

The amount of time spent wondering to a quest objective, to only get side tracked by more that I stumble upon.

Those pics look awesome...

Generally getting drawn in to this but not having time to play the weekend access is a pain.

Has combat improved much since the last gripes with it?

The weekend just gone, the combat was the same as previous. Personally I thought it was great, but some still didn't like it.

The current closed beta guys and the next beta weekend will contain the 0.18 patch which contains most of the combat feel changes, like animations, impact shake. NPC collision and so on.

Here is some more pic, this is more PvP oriented.

Thats good feedback, thanks for that - I'll see if I can find time to jump in on the open beta!

Now.. to look at pics! :D

EDIT: Awesome pics! I'm assuming the nameplates etc are taken off for screenshot aesthetics? seems difficult to see who your fighting!.. i'd just end up putting arrows in everybody :D

Health bars are optional and so are quest indicators now too.

This is an interesting video, I think this contains the 0.18 combat feel updates (animations, collision, screen shake etc) but I THINK this video also shows off SINGLE player dungeons.

But I'm not 100% certain on this, so I'm trying to find clarification.

OK so there is 2 types if torch icons.

First torch icon is for single player dungeons, with a minor boss at the end with quests in them.

Then you have torch's with a + icon next to the and they are aimed for groups.
