Been trying to pick through the thread a little on TOG but struggling.

For TOG?

If you mean TOG, once your application is processed, you simply make a post in the Stickied thread in the EU ESO section and and everyone who has posted in there gets invited to the guild ingame. Or you can contact any of the TOG EU guild officers ingame and they'll invite.
 
In dungeons, there are chests that have loot that goes to only the person who opens the chest first (or interacts with it and opens it first, rather). Try to spot them in corners of dungeons to snag em.

You can leave items in a chest for others to take if two of you are nearing the chest and you opened it first. They can also take your chest items the split second you open it so be fast if you want it all.

I just read that in the tips post that Latex posted. I really hate this sort of thing. It annoys me.
 
Yea it's a bit weird. Loot for the actual bosses is instanced per player but there are random chests in dungeons that are not. Can't see why they wouldn't do a need/greed roll in group dungeons.

I've missed this sort of thing. I can't stand all this instanced nodes and chests. Rewards should be for those who get there first, not everyone. I just wish I also had the opportunity to Pk people attempting to get there first :D.

Because it's stupid and just leads to people getting angry. Surely if you are in a group doing a dungeon and come across a chest everyone in the group should get something. It's PVE, you aren't in competition.

Why should the guy with the faster connection/computer get the reward?

Why should a guy who leaves the group while fighting a mob to open a chest get the reward?

Because that's what happens.

And I really hope this is just confined to dungeons.

Depends where you brought it from?

If you brought it direct from Zenimax then you get 5 days early access, if you've bought the normal version from a 3rd party you only get 3 days early access iirc
 
Has anyone else on here pre-purchased ESO from Game?
i bought the imperial edition so get the physical goodies, but I've only received an early access code? is there a game code i should have got? and shouldn't i have been given Explorer's pack codes?

Bit worried i've not received everything i should have.
 
My face when I was greeted by a "POWERED BY HERO ENGINE" splash screen while installing the launch client.

For those unaware, Hero is the same engine that powers SWTOR. Which makes a lot of sense when you consider some of their design choices.

The funny thing is ZOS made a big fuss that Hero Engine was only used for early testing, and that they had built their own engine for the full release. Apparently that was just damage control to distance the game from SWTOR whilst that ship was sinking in 2012/2013.
