The game plays nothing like SWTOR even remotely though. This was one if the sticks I was using to beat the game with but to be honest I have found no issues apart from the earlier floating combat (which has since improved a lot)

Has anyone else on here pre-purchased ESO from Game?
i bought the imperial edition so get the physical goodies, but I've only received an early access code? is there a game code i should have got? and shouldn't i have been given Explorer's pack codes?

Bit worried i've not received everything i should have.

How long did it take you to get the early access code after you ordered? I ordered mine earlier this afternoon and they said I should get my early access code shortly, but it still hasn't turned up in my email :/

Neo, I got my early access code literally about 20 seconds after buying it.
have you been given any other codes?
The early access code is all i've received. but i'm sure we're supposed to get other codes too

Might sound silly, but have you checked spam/junk mail?

You'll get the game code when you actually pick up the game on release. And I think the Explorer's pack is linked to your early access code. So as you've entered that you should get the benefits as soon as you log in. But don't quote me on that.

But wouldn't i need the game code in order to actually play? that's what i'm a tad confused about, as i thought i'd need it lol.

I'm not picking up the game, it's getting sent to me on release, which will be the 4th of April. But i have 5 days early access =/

My face when I was greeted by a "POWERED BY HERO ENGINE" splash screen while installing the launch client.

For those unaware, Hero is the same engine that powers SWTOR. Which makes a lot of sense when you consider some of their design choices.

The funny thing is ZOS made a big fuss that Hero Engine was only used for early testing, and that they had built their own engine for the full release. Apparently that was just damage control to distance the game from SWTOR whilst that ship was sinking in 2012/2013.

Bioware bought an extremely early version of the Hero engine and modified it themselves. Whether the issues Swtor's engine had were due to 'Hero' or Bioware who can tell?

You don't need a retail code for early access, only the pre-order code.

There are two different codes, an early access code and a game code. The early access code allows you to play during the early access period(in your case 5 days) once that period finishes and the game is actually released you then need a game code. You should get the box either on the day of release or a day or two before and that'll contain the game code to allow you to play past those first 5 days.

I hope that simplifies it for you.

All I received was the receipt/confirmation of the order and nothing else. Junk folder is empty :(

Yea the pre-order bonus was explorer pack and early access. So the single code does both.

I assume/hope there will be a short grace period on the 4th to allow people to apply their retail codes!

Yes it does, thank you. I even asked Game via their webchat service several times and they themselves couldn't give me a straight answer. That's why i was a bit confused.

That does seem odd. I just read my Email which contained my early access code and it say's,
'If you misplace your code, or need a reminder of it at a later date, don't forget that you can log in with your email address and view all your downloads at the My Downloads portal. If you need help, See our guide to Download products'

All i can suggest is to try that. you're very unlucky. If you don't get hold of the code, i doubt you'll be able to get hold of Game at all until Monday. as far as i'm aware, their Webchat service is Monday-Friday and they don't have a customer services phone number anymore.

literally 15 minutes ago I received an email from them saying there has been a problem with my order so it's been cancelled

I just went on the bay and got a 5 day early access code for £2.99 and am downloading the client now so I guess I'll just pick a physical copy up once the game launches :D

Whats the cheapest place to get this? Had no interest in it before today but saw a PvP video earlier and it seems really fun.

thanks for the suggestion on the mods,im trying to install this on my game now but i have no such folder as live in my game folder or addon have checked my housemates and he also doesn't have it! my patcher is upto date its showing 30.5gb. any ideas?

Try actually pressing play on the Launcher and it might create the files then.

If not, the default location is "C:\Users\youraccountname\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\liveeu\AddOns"

Do you know of any ENB or sweetfx links?

I've seen a really bad YouTube video but that is all.

SweetFX compatibility is still a work in progress and ENB's will depend upon Boris.

You can force SweetFX v1.4 through radeonpro and then either make up your own preset or download one from SFX lazy.

No idea what your trying to accomplish with this statement, other then to rile people up.
