Haven't managed to play anything the last few days due to RL, but as BF4 is a laggy mess atm when I do get a chance to play something I'll fire up ESO.

Don't skip quests :-)
Some give you bonus skillpoints.
I am at my 3rd zone and clearing everything, even though I already have the quest leading me to next zone.

17MegaBytes/s would equate to approx 140Megabits/s

50Mb Virgin Media cable would have a maximum possible download speed of 6.25MB/s.

Indeed that is correct.

Nemesis I also have Virgin but the 60mbs package, if I recall correctly I too had 17.someting figure on my downloader however that is incorrect and simply a bug with eso downloader showing false download speed.

Focusing on fire damage, I think the following should work well.

Dragonknight Altmer using a Destruction Staff, with points in Destruction Staff, Racial Bonuses, and Ardent Flame.

Probably focusing points in Health and Mana only, and wearing half heavy and light armor to get bonuses on health and mana regeneration.

Altmer Racial Bonuses:
Destruction Talent (1 rank) - Increases experience gain with the Destruction Staff skill line by 15%.
Spellcharge (3 ranks) - Increases Magicka Recovery while in combat by (3/6/9)%.
Gift of Magnus (3 ranks) - Increases maximum Magicka by (4/7/10)%.
Elemental Talent (3 ranks) – Increases damage with Cold, Fire, or Shock effects by (2/4/6)%.


I just hope I don't encounter any Dunmer. :)

i got mine from cd keys recieved my key straight away got it for 26quid might be able get it cheaper i just got mine from them as ive had no trouble in the past.

finally created my character nord-daggerfall covenant-templah. so jealous of the players riding around on horses :( at least i got my little monkey dude following me :p lol just need to get some amour and stuff now. If i kill another player can i loot their bodies? i dont plan on doing it but just incase somone decides to attack me first. Also hate having to be zoomed fully out just so my camera is centered when in 3rd person.
 
What is this actually like? I'm hearing some bad things at the moment, I know its early stages but everyone does expect a little too much. I'm a massive Skyrim and Oblivion fan surely this is a decent game?

^This I had this bug on my BT infinity line (80mb/s) I usually max out at around 9Mb/s but it was showing 12+. Virgin don't even offer more than 100mb/s to commercial customers do they?

This is my first MMO. Mixed feelings. I am so not used to having to combine attacks lol!

What are the "bad things" you are hearing? Downtime aside I'm hearing a lot of positive things, even from people who didn't enjoy beta too much.

Yeah they offer 120mb and I got an email saying they were upgrading my area to 160mb too.

I tried the beta and thought it awful (mainly because the introductory section is so claustophobic).

But once you get past that (1 hour in) the main game opens up and the world feels more alive. I'm intrigued enough to keep playing.

Cheapest place I found it that I could trust as I've used before is g2a.com. Got my key in 5 minutes.

I've not noticed any lag or disconnections - it seems very smooth so far.

I've seen gameplay footage which looks pretty tacky of a "New Gen" Elder Scrolls game and I have a few other MMO friends who have got the game that don't really like it. I don't know whether or not they are taking the time to settle into the game but I'm after the opinions of people who have played the game extensively up until now. I'm not here to criticise I'm just after an honest review.
 
You'll need to say what negstives are for people to be able to answer your concerns.

I'm surprised you found the graphics looking "tack" they are hugely impressive, don't think I've seen another mmo offer such a standard graphically. It has really surprisd me the standard they have set.

In general the game has far exceeded the expectations I had. Good combat? Check. Good crafting? Check. Good character development? Check. Real interactive world? Check.

I'm not massively far in but my only niggles are that there hasn't been a lot of group stuff yet and I want to dye my armour. Very minor things.

If you are a wow player and love that type of game though you may not enjoy this, very different type. Stuck quite true to the elder scrolls route as opposed to the wow mmo standard.
 
This is annoying. To "re-activate" my account after early access I have to wait to log on to my account on main page.:( You would think it does it automaticly when you try to log on to game.

And that's all the information I was after. When I've spoke to people they just say "It's crap" or "I just don't like it" they never give me enough information to know why. But now that I have read that I'm happy, I wanted it to stick to the ES route I didn't want it to veer anyway off what so ever. So this looks like it may be a purchase for me. Thank You.
 
Anytime :)

It's quite true to the elder scrolls combat type (first person) limited abilities and you have to prepare for situations.

Group wise perhaps someone like Latex who posts in this thread could give you a better view as he has more dungeon experience.
 
This is my first time playing this kind of game,spent 3000hrs with skyrim and climbing.found it pretty hard at first as the ways of crafting and improving armor were all new to me, also the pace of the game and everyone running everywhere caught me out. I'm on level 9 now and finding it a bit easier.
