Anyone that hated the beta, but love the release?

Yeah, i was in the first 2 beta weekends and i just struggled to play for more than an hour, never made it past level 5 either time. I wasn't planning on buying the game on release but i found it pretty cheap so i caved in and bought it, loving it so far, it's improved quite a bit since the beta. The main thing that bothers me though is that there's nothing in the options to change the fov, i find that it's way too low, anyone know if there's a way to change it or if it's planned for a future patch?

Yeah I wasn't a fan of the beta, it seemed rather dull. Seen a few reviews however and it looks better, with PVP looking to be good fun.

Anyone playing as a Battlemage?

I've gone Dragonknight with heavy armor, but I'm wondering whether Sorcerer with heavy armor would work better.

Thinking about trying battle mage, feel like trying to make a death knight type character so plate, two handed sword and dots/draining magic attacks. Wondering about trying sorcerer with dark magic or nightblade and siphoning. Vampire line might be worth trying too.

Have to say going into this with no expectations I am enjoying it, main problem at the moment is I have so many ideas for characters I can't choose what to focus on :P

Think I'm going to stick with Dragonknight for my Battlemage build at the moment, and just focus on Fire with a 2H sword. Might even pick up Archery for long range and PVP when I'm a higher level.

If anybody is looking for a small group 8 - 15 to level with, by all means drop by our TS. Please note tho, if you're one of these elitist "I know everything BS", ofc dont bother!

TS details in my sig :D

I rolled a 2hand dragonknight with full heavy armor but been told i need to wear a mixture of light and medium armor:confused: is this true seems kinda strange.

Anyone found a decent anti aliasing solution? In game fxaa is too blurry.

Tried downsampling but the image was soft / blurry for some reason.

Which so happens to be near enough 10%. Just letting him know why he's getting 1/10 of the speed he thought he had?

no it's 100% of it.

just like centimeters and meters

if you have a 50cm piece of string it could be said you have a 0.5m piece of string which wouldn't be ten percent of the 50cm would it?

I have a 2h dk and the thing is, certain armor gives you certain bonuses.
There are passive bonuses later in the game when you wear 5 or more pieces of heavy/medium/light armor. As a DK you mostly use heavy and medium but seen some running with 2 light pieces as well. It's to boost stamina/magicka regen from armor passive bonuses. I had 7 pieces of heavy armor, but I am a Khajit so I have bonus to crit chance, coming from medium armor. I switched 2 pieces to medium and my crit rate went from 0% to 6%.
It's best to sit for a while in game and read all skill descriptions, especially passive abilities.
That should give you the idea.

Awh I was expecting some decent combat like previous elder scrolls, should have watched more vids before buying, combat is slow and blocking with a shield doesn't do anything for me :s. Anyone else just see loads of people lagging about? ruins the atmosphere seeing a lot of people rubber banding. Anyway, game is pretty and I need to learn to play before giving a more lucrative assessment but early signs, im disappointed.

I'd check your connection, if all you get are lags.
I had a few nice fights in Cyrodil and lag was either very small or not at all.
What do you mean you can't block?
Right mouse click+ hold is blocking, but you need the right timing for that. Dodging is much better sometimes. Iif you expected to equip a shield and just always block xx % of damage, it isn't game like this. It's less about numbers and more about skills.
Maybe try different class and that will suit you better?
I couldn't play a tank either, wanted more damage, so went with 2h dk and I am satisfied.

Not everybody knows what a Mbit is, a lot of people will buy say a 10Mbps line and expect to download games/movies at 10mb/s and get surprised when they only get 1,024kb/s. Maybe I worded it wrong but when you get an internet package you should expect roughly 10% of what the package states as your line speed when downloading files.

Blocking is very important for me, I can turn fights by a well timed block that stuns an opponent. I can definitely see that the combat is a compromise between traditional Elder Scrolls and something which can be reproduced for thousand of players simultaneously with as little lag as possible.

cheers will look into it.

Would love to know what ISP is giving you that speed on a small package, unless you're talking crap and that was your install speed, which TESO likes to show for some reason. Virgin & B.T sell packages based on Mbit, and 10Mbit = 1024kb, it's simple maths. Of course you could be on a smaller unknown ISP but the big boys sell packages by the Mbit, and if your package is 50Mbit you won't be getting 17MB.

It's virgin m8 and I got the game down at 17mb/s just downloaded the last patch, but that only ran at around 6.55mbs.

So again you talking out your ........

Next time I download something big will take a screenie, and this is my final word on this as can see this just going round and round.

Got to 7 and merrily crafting away. Still working away at KR right now, got the maps and shards sorted so going to finish the quests (however many are left) then onward.

Trying to play more but having a dota2 run at the same time im really enjoying.
