Not sure what problem he is having, but my problem is as follows :

Got mine working now, but missus copy does the following, launcher starts up, set on EU , play button showing, she has an ESO EU folder. Theres a pause for a couple of seconds after the launcher starts up , then it comes up with a window which says "already downloading". Clicking play causes nothing to happen, game doesnt launch. Have repaired twice now, nothing changed.

Have you tried skipping the launcher all together and loading the game with the .exe?

I have 2 files one eu and one none eu but ive already done the name change thing so the full files is the eu one but its trying to install game fully again into the other one

Open the launcher and click the cog wheel in the top right hand corner and make sure its set to European Megaserver.

Sounds like your downloading the American client and your set to the American servers.

Also not sure what they were smoking with dumping you in a city/town after the Coldharbour part with (unless I missed something) no clue whatsoever of where to go.

People felt the other zones made the game to linear, so they put you in the wilderness, where you find the content, rather being told where to go and what to do.

And lol @ putting an EU server in the US, kinda defeats the point really.

We have constructed large datacenters in North America and in Europe to support this game. North America is fully operational and our European datacenter will be soon

Is anyone else having black screen/graphics driver crashes this weekend? I get them over and over, never had them on the last beta. Tried different drivers etc. GTX 780Ti.

I think its the graphics card as I only received it last night (off the MM). I want to make sure its not the game before I mention it.

I'm fine and i've not heard any mention of it. Sounds like it might be the card :(

Try other games, do some stress testing or benchmarking to make sure.

Well I thought I would give this whirl so I downloaded it and left it till today to play. I run the launcher, hit install and it just downloads the entire thing again. Second time it's happened now....any ideas?!

I posted before in this thread.

Browse to where you installed the game.

Copy the Elder Scrolls Online folder and paste it again in exactly the same folder creating a folder called Elder Scrolls Online - Copy. Rename the Elder Scrolls Online - Copy to Elder Scrolls Online EU. So you should now have 2 folders Elder Scrolls Online and Elder Scrolls Online EU both 30gb in size.

Load the launcher up and it will ask you if you want to migrate to the European version, Click Decline and decline again.

Then in the top right hand corner click the cog wheel and select the European megaserver. Apply and click play.

You should now be playing the game.

Latex as you seemto know so much, can you level every ability to mac level with enough time or do you only have so many points?

Rumour has it around 150 points are currently available.

50 from levelling

Then there is 300+ skyshards, 3 shards to 1 skill point gives you 100 if my math doesn't fail me.

So a reasonable estimate is around 150.

Big time Skyrim fan, plus all the older ones, just cannot get into this, seems boring and drawn out, what am I missing, doesn't keep my interest.

You don't have to like every MMO. And its nothing like Skyrim, which could be part of your problem.

ESO is a slower paced game, it doesn't hold your hand that much and everything is aimed towards playing with friends. It's aimed more towards the adults then other MMO's, which puts some people off.

If you don't enjoy it, don't play it.

To the people who have access to beta and are saying the combat feels disconnected and floaty, can I ask you to play a night blade 2 hander plate wearer. Take teleport strike and assassins blade and play it to at least level 10 (2 hours for people with experience in there chosen faction starter zone).

As I have just started with one and my god is it awesome. Feels so good to play.

Tried it briefly last night(after it finally finished redownloading) and it is certainly very different to all MMO's I've ever played before. As I never played any of the Elder Scrolls series or any MMO's with a similar targeting system everything is completely new to me. I'm enjoying it but I can confirm that I am very rubbish!

In terms of performance it ran fairly well although there were small periods of lag and unresponsiveness. Whether that was caused by my PC, my shoddy connection or the servers is a question that I can't answer right now. But for the most part it was steady.

If the game was freezing for a period, that's the bug catcher running in the background when it compiles the bugs and sends them. Apparently and obviously won't be in release.

Anyone know anywhere with good builds? Any clans accepting people?
Still stuck on what class to play!
I always play a sorcerer type(when I play games that allow me but never really seriously played a mmo) like evil casters dots and aoe not sure I'm sold on the sorcerer though wanted to be a evil necro health stealer and curse caster but haven't seen any builds for them, thinking maybe a bow sorcerer or something (Im awful at making builds)

Sounds like you would enjoy a nightblade caster. Get a destro fire and ice staff for weapon swapping.

Then spec into the siphon tree, where you have life steal, cripple and many more stealing abilities. Also under the world talents you have the soul tree too.

You could also put points into stealth and be a stealthy life stealing caster. Most people who go life steal night blade caster also turn them selves into vampires as they have a lot of life stealing.

Been having an amazing weekend in game. Enjoying playing with the classes and figuring out the game more. Got to level 17 and it really really opens up more after level 13. You get less icons and more quests, so it really pushes you to explore.

The combat improvements are fantastic and NPC collision has made for some crazy fights. Was surrounded by 4 werewolves and had to fight for my life as I couldn't run away
away.

Did a couple of hours of pvp too, it's frantic and massive
Was part of a push group around 250 players in size. Ended up at a keep which we deployed the battering rams and catapults, raining fire down on them. But they countered from the flanks while bombing us with hot oil and catapults from the keep. We all died but it was great fun
fun.

I have 2 minor gripes at the moment.

1. With pvp being keeps and control based, and with the public being used to battlegrounds, I don't think they will have the imagination to play it the way it's meant. I feels the days of self driven pvp battles are gone and people are too lazy to think outside their battlegrounds. I hope I'm wrong but who knows.

2. They should remove classes and just open up the skill lines to everyone. I feel it will end up that way, as classes are no more then a restraining bolt to stop you from making a Op class.

It's got a very old-school feel in that respect, you have to work towards getting yourself geared, rather than just following a quest chain that feeds you one piece of armour after another.

I really had to stop and just soak up the fact that I'd been dumped into the world, that hasn't happened since EQ1.

People are now upset you're just dumped into the game.

Seems they can't win, starter zones are too linear and boring, but being dumped into the major town is too scary.

The public have no idea what they want, you can see this from SWTOR, public didn't want a LFG tool, 6 weeks in they where screaming for it.

They should stick with dumping people in the zone personally. But you know how the crying public can change things.
