I can just about bare it, but it's the muppets that now drop 'standard' or 'boss' onto the end of every sentence that makes me grr.

It's the "amazing" word that drives me up the wall.

Everything seems to look, feel, taste and smell amazing...

It seems to be a common trend among students with long hair who drink a lot. Not seen a lot of guys over 23 use it.

Seems to be used on the forum a lot. Must be a computer geek thing

I'm 24, short hair, not a student and I don't drink much, but I am a computer geek and I say epic all the time, it's a good word, someone or something is either an epic fail or an epic win.

Whats wrong with it? what would you say instead?

Look up the word in the urban dictionary. The first result proves the point! It's way over used by everyone and their dog. It would be fine if it wasn't used all the time as already mentioned by a few others in here.

When you drag something out for years and bury it into the floor then spit on it... it becomes very "uncool."

There's plenty of other words to replace it. People wont all of a sudden be half way through a sentence and then freeze in speech because there is no other word to fill the gap.

Waiting for someone to post the epic moneysupermarket advert that makes people want to top themselves....

I'm 24, long hair, a student until recently and drink a lot, but don't say it. Much. Well, sometimes. If drunk. But only also if aware of the company around me being people who aren't going to go "Wow. Geek." as I'd like to think I've moved on from that bit of my life :p

I'm a student, I'm nearly 20 and I drink a lot.

And I use the word epic.

BUT I DON'T HAVE LONG HAIR! WHERES YOUR SWEEPING GENERALISATION NOW, FOOL? :p
