Eternal Sonata is released on Friday and was curious how many of you have ordered it. I love RPG's and there have not been that many good ones on the 360, but I am still not sure if I am going to get this one. It looks like a beautiful game and has good, not great, reviews but from what I heard that the gameplay is focused more towards kids. Not because the characters and setting has a kid theme but because it a bit too simplified and easy. I will wait to hear what players have to say when it's released.

Me.

After Blue Dragon and Enchanted Arms, it's my most anticipated game.

I love Japanese style games and the eternal sonata animation style is just so gorgeous, too!

Edit: I'm weird so I like childish games lol. Blue Dragon is funny even though it's childish dialogue.

I must admit I prefer RPG games such as Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, but I do not have a PS2/PS3 anymore so cannot play the rest :(

I expect a PS2 on a 2407 Dell would be crap.

I've got it pre-ordered :) Should arrive Friday in time for a weekend of gaming :D
I can find something good in pretty much all RPGs so I'm sure I'll love this. I've still got Blue Dragon to play though as I only just bought it :o

I'd play it through in Japanese if I were you :)

The English dub is ... cute .... but Japanese just seems more authentic :D

im tempted by it, but ive got blue dragon sitting around thats waiting to be played and i want the orange box.

think this one will have to wait. apparently its ending sequence is 45mins!!

I might get it soon, way too many good games out atm and not enough money :p

It's about time the 360 got a decent RPG, Oblivion was good but I didn't like the levelling system, Blue Dragon was just a flop which only managed to sell a few copies because of the hype.

Think I'll be getting this on rental first. Have played the demo, not too sure about the combat. I didn't really get to grips with the idea of having to move around and choose sun/shadow combat.

That's what I love about Jap games, the drama.

Definate first day purchase for me.

Loved and finished both Blue Dragon and Enchanted Arms so this was always a given. Even played and finished Phantasy Star Universe and err, may god have mercy on my soul a £22 collectors edition of Two Worlds popped through my door about 30 mins ago.

Edit: And my OcUK profile names now Abooie as well! Cheers Nokkon.

It will take something truly epic for me to buy an RPG. I love RPGs but they are so poorly done since the days of VII/VIII. I'm still waiting for a proper Square RPG.

Two Worlds on the PC in my opinion is better than the reviews give it credit for. The voice acting is terrible though, and as far as I know the 360 version is allot buggier than the PC version. If anyone picks this game up do yourself a favour and start on difficult because as you level up it really does get too easy on the normal setting.

There's talk of an imminent (though it seems to have been imminent for quite some time) patch (1.6) that will solve a lot of problem. I can't decide whether to start playing or wait.

It was one of those 3 pint purchases; now it's here I'm scared to put it in. I do love a rpg but even my gaming guide (games(tm)) could only give it 2/10.

Ahh I remember that review, I can't believe they caused such a mess of it. It was a good idea for a game, I might rent it at some point just to see how bad it is.

Just watched the video of Eternal Sonata, want it even more now :D I loved the battle system in Star Ocean 2 and it looks extremely similar.

Sorry for the double post, but just got an email to say my copy's been posted, fingers crossed it arrives tomorrow :D

I'm going to get eternal sonata in the jan sales as between halo, two worlds and mass effect (soon) i don't have any spare time at the mo.

As a brief side-note I would recommend two worlds to fans of diablo and baulders gate DA, but not to fans of oblivion. I'm about 40 hours in and loving it, definitely at least a 7.5/10 for me (and only a few minor bugs experienced too)
