*** Official F1 2011 Time Trials Thread ***

Oh yes, definiteley this game has a lot more to offer than time trials. We normally play 20% races online where you have to pit once and make sure to use both options and prime tyres for the race. You need to get the timing right with your pitstops and manage your fuel correctly for the race, it adds so much different angles to the race. We had people running out of fuel on last corners including myself.

See that kind of puts me off. Not to sound like a bore, but when there's so many variables, I lose interest. If it were just racing, all in the same car without having to worry about tyres, fuels and pitstops, (like TT) and just seeing who can stay ahead of the pack, I'd be interested, but tbh, I cba with all the other stuff I'm afraid.:o :(

Isn't there a sprint mode or something like that, where it's just foot down and go, nothing else to worry about?

Yes.. you set a race but just have 3 laps. No pit stops, not enough laps for tyre wear.

It's basically down to whoever gets the best start. If you crash first corner, you are done for.

By the way Merlin i have started playing with the cockpit view. I am around about 1 second slower compare to my TT times but in a race trim i am only half a second behind. I hope with bit more practice i should be able to match my times which i posted with the T-cam.

Not really - had someone knock me off on the first corner of Melbourne (one of the few times I have gotten crashed out recently), and I still went on to win the race.

3 lap races can be quite fun :)
