**** Official Fallout 4 Thread ****

Guys there is a way to increase the performance on AMD Cards by disabling some of the NVIDIA gameworks cripplers

Volumetric Lighting set to 0 and God Rays set to 0

Fallout4.ini -> God Rays
Fallout4Prefs.ini -> volumetric lighting

Set your tesselation to 8x aswell in CCC

Has helped me!

In 3-4 hours I don't think I've come across a reference to the previous games yet, much less something that would require you to have played them. Now I'll admit I've been mostly wandering and hitting stuff near the start area to help the settlement so can't say the later storyline missions won't go down that road but I still doubt it.

Tad underwhelmed tbh. Terminals are bugged, so can't continue. Performance sucks without an SLI profile. Game looks meh in 2015 tbh.

I know fanboys will love the gameplay but I wasn't a FO3 fan tbh. I was hoping for a bit more.

Hopefully sorted when I finally get more time to play

Fingers crossed. Enjoy all

SLI Does work to an extent, Not great scaling, but does improve things, I posted few pages back:

Got SLI working thanks to a Reddit post. Both cards are now being utilised.

Launch Nvidia Control Panel--> Manage 3D Settings --> Program Settings --> Select Fallout 4 (Fallout4.exe)-->change SLI Rendering Mode to: Force Alternate Frame Rendering 2. it will warn you against changing this setting, just hit okey and save.

Since the ini tweaks I am running max everything with solid 60fps @1080p though I can't seem to get it to 144mhz. (5820k/16g/gtx980)

Game looks beautiful until you get close to the characters lol, they seem to be from a 5 year old game lol. Gameplay is awesome, I am hooked already :D

One tip I have found that I didn't realize at first is that the quick menu has a lot more than just 3,4,0,9. If you push Q on the pip boy while in the inventory, you can select a lot more keys.

Quite like the little mini game you can collect from the terminals lol

As is usually the case with Bethesda, the modding community will do a proper job of retexturing/remodelling. It's why I'm going to hold on a while for some mods and patches. You guys are impatient! :D
