**** Official Fallout 4 Thread ****

Doesn't look brilliant graphics wise, disappointed. Playing Witcher 3 atm and it will take some beating tbh, technically and otherwise.

Being a Fallout fanboy I still can't wait to get stuck in :)

You seem to be judging the graphics based on a fairly pixelated and entirely dodgy livestream sir... I know that you are smarter than that! :p

Started to re-do the opening post. If anyone has any suggestions to save time, that would be great.

I plan on including a section for bug fixes/workarounds, and another for post-release articles, as well as overhauling the 'buy' section, and adding some more useful links...

As definitive as that then - that's good. I did find a good video on youtube of an 860 at 4GHz, and it seemed to run well on ultra settings with a 7950.

I'm not so sure really, the 860 is a good CPU when overclocked, but its hard to tell if its causing a bottleneck unless you back-to-back test it with something else!

In any case, even if it does bottleneck, I wouldn't worry too much if you still get playable frame-rates! :)

A little disappointed so far. Theres nothing wrong with the game, but it just isn't giving me that vibe yet!

Also having some real issues getting it set up right... I hoped my 8GB 390 (with a decent OC too) would be up to the task, but ultra 4K is totally unobtainable, high/medium 4K looks depressingly mediocre, and even 1080P ultra has dips! How?!

Really hope this gets sorted soon, the power of this GPU should be enough to max the game out... I can run graphically modded Skyrim maxxed out in 4K with 60FPS and this can't be much more demanding!

I've settled for a weird ultra/high/medium 1440P upscaled setup for now which runs OK and looks half decent...

Getting into it now, finally found some graphical settings that I'm happy with. 1440P upscaled to 2160P, TAA on, 4x AF, textures on ultra, shadow distance on medium, everything else on high, and with Stalker shaders installed. Steady 40 - 60FPS.

Get out of the power Armour roughly under the frame. Hover your cursor once out on the yellow frame and click the craft button, it will snap the power armour in line,

That works, but its the same as just getting out of it normally if you position it correctly. It just snaps the armour round to face the front. I thought there would be chains holding it up like in the stills, to indicate that its docked.

Anyone else get that bug with the mission objective not marking as completed when you
had to kill all of the enemies in Concord? I got in the power armour, picked up the mini gun, jumped down, killed the only enemy I could find (one deathclaw) then spent over an hour scouring the whole place for enemies, including the surrounding area, and there were none, so I used a console command to mark the objective as completed because I wanted to progress!
