Has anyone done the Nick Valentine
Eddie Winters Holotapes mission
?

Man its long! I hope its worth it, Im level 25ish and have 6 out of 9 so far....

Anyone had an issue with Preston Garvey "Disappearing"?

I've killed the Mirelurk Queen at the Castle, but Preston appears to be dead, or at least there's a Preston-like body on the ground. I've seen a few bug reports littered around about him disappearing, but none with him being actually dead!

Hope I don't have to kill the Queen again, it wasn't particularly hard but it was long and tedious....

It's quite a tedious quest. A lot of the tapes are not where the markers are, the markers simply send you somewhere else. The reward is underwhelming, I might add.

urgh, so I think my game is broken by a bug..

I went to go and kill Kellog at fort hagen, after I killed him I checked the mission and it was still saying "confront Kellog" at the time I didn't care, as I wanted to just go and do a load of side missions and figure it out later.

2 days later and about 8-9 levels I got back onto the story, to discover that I can't complete the quest - it's still telling me to confront him, when I follow the quest marker to where he is, he's just laid there dead - it seems to be stuck :( reading around, a few other people are stuck here too...

any suggestions? :(

Make sure before you play the game ( Run it first though ), to install these mods first ( Mainly the config tool and UI change ). Others can be installed as to your preference.

I don't recommend playing the Vanilla version before using the tool, as that enables the mods, increases thread count for extra cpu's and the main one, sets the FOV ( which needs to be atleast 95 ). Oh and the full dialogue mod is a must!

Doing some exploring :)

What settings are you running at? Your image seems much sharper than mine

I have found the ENB memory+VRAM trick works wonders. Also I downclocked my 780TIs to 1071MHz std, used NVI to engage SLI and now get between 60 and 100fps maxed. I don't think this game likes overclocks

Is it just me but don't any of the walls you can build for your "houses" have windows ?? Looks rather boring without any. :( .. Or I just totally missed them.. lol

I have had a great time with the game so far, it was slow starting off but i stuck at it. Just finished the main quest and it was not to bad as story lines go. Plenty of content as i am almost lvl 70 and still got things to do and places to discover :)

Went for a stealth build and it worked out great, i one shot most things. Gonna try a unarmed and melee weapon build next. I also went for low intelligence and the idiot savant perk and was lvl 20 before i knew it :)

Nice, I just hit level 39 and I'm also loving it so far, but wondered how much more there was to go - looks like plenty!

I like it but I keep losing my sidekicks, dogs been missing for weeks, I luckily found Strong again wandering through the wasteland after taking a few pot shots at him thinking he was an enemy haha. Codsworth just blocks everywhere you go, I swear he pushed me onto some rubble and the only way I could move again was to reload! Other than that it's great fun but does anyone know how to find your lost dog etc?

Had an interesting time with this last night. I became quite annoyed at a particular character and accidently discovered the following (Don't read unless you've built and used the doohickey at Boston airport)

Following my transport to The Institute, I decided to immediately kill Father and then proceed to massacre everyone else I could find. However when I tried to reach the transporter in order to exit, I was ambushed by some 30+ synths who spawned in the lower level corridor right before the transporter room.

Nice. I just hit level 91 but not yet started the main quest line properly, Got as far as:

Kellog for the final bobble head
Interestingly my build is pretty Polar opposite to yours. Full Power Armor, Full intelligence, Heavy guns. Having said that with the weapons and most perks maxed out including critical, pretty much everything goes down in one hit on survivor also.

Things that do get close enough have to get through a defense rating of 1900 and claw through 900+ HP :D
